Everyone is pointing fingers. I don’t believe it’s any 1 single factor. It’s literally everything and everyone at the same time. It’s not Pokémon’s fault, it’s not investors or collectors etc. it’s nobody’s fault and everyone’s fault at the same time. It is what it is. Ultimately I’m happy to see the popularity in this hobby go to the moon. There are pros and cons in these situations. Be patient, be smart, be logical in this market.
8:00 Hard Agree with this take, people will always say you should "leave some for the kids" but there's a 99.9% chance the local scalper is just going to take them all if you don't in this scenario. If I find myself in this situation, my plan is to buy it all up, keep some for myself, and the rest I will have an in-person event at my local flea market booth where people can buy a box at MSRP and I will remove the plastic upon purchase, so people that actually want to open and enjoy the product has a chance to get some at retail price. If you actually want to make a positive difference in this current hell we are in... you gotta put in the work, because the scalpers/opportunists are absolutely going to do the work if you don't.
Yeah this isn’t the typical scenario. That’s a good plan with the in person event. Props to stores that are removing the wrap to prevent reselling too, it’s going to be tough but we’ll all get through this

One aspect I didn't see you mention in regards to Prismatic Evolutions, is that they also have a crazy lineup for this special set. Yeah, we won't have booster boxes, but we have new product releases all the way into September. It only makes sense that every previously released product will also be reprinted in the run-up to each new product's debut. So by September, there will be a dozen plus different products to get packs from, and all of them will have been restocked and reprinted to death. The scalpers snatching all of this up hoping for a big payday either better move all of it fast, or understand that the FOMO isn't going to exist for very long, and go broke. For me, I got my preorder of two PC ETBs back on Nov 1, waiting on those to come in. Gonna open it all, see what I get, and maybe send the promos in to be graded. Other than that, I don't think I'll try and find anything in the wild for this set until the insanity dies down.

@@ChrispyEh I don’t think pokerev is to blame. He runs a business, you need to make money.
