Before putting your bread in the breadbox, do you wrap it in something first? Such as plastic or cloth?

No. Because then the bread will get soft and grow mold quickly. Not even paper wrapping. Just plain bread.

Thank you so much for your reply...my bread is now going in a refinished antique wooden bread box, all by itself!

Thanks. You are welcome. Nothing like antique quality. I personally don't like bamboo boxes because a lot of chemicals go into manufacturing bamboo cookware too.

Which one did you get ? I usually store homemade bread and they last easily a week. If we buy from the store then I remove the wrapping. It has never gotten moldy. I am using Tupperware since 13 years and we are satisfied.

Thank you for your informative video. My concern about any bread box with air holes is that bugs/ants could invade the box. Has this happened to you?

This has never happened to me so far. I am using this system for 14 years now. Actually there are no holes in the condense control. Its a fine mesh for gentle air circulation.

Is the Tupperware box available to purchase today? I'm experiencing difficulty locating it online. Thank you.

There is the new series called Bread Smart Plus available in Swiss Catalog. The one in the video is from their older series, not sure if it is available in your country. You will be able to get this through a consultant. Best to get it through a Tupperware consultant so you get the genuine product. There are many copies I heard which are not good. Tupperware gives a life time warranty in case there is a problem with it. I am very satisfied with their products.
Genuine Tupperware is expensive, but they also have a good resale value. I sold my old one for a good price too. Another option is to look in ebay or such sites.
