Puttanna Kanagal introduced Vishnu sir as a hero and Ambarish Sir was a very small role in the movie Nagara Haavi, but his respect for his Guru is unmatchable that he took up small and mediocre roles in Ranganayaki and Masanada Hoovu.

Puttanna being a married man with 5 children by that point in time wanted sexual pleasure from Kalpana and then Arathi, and being a famous director at the time forces his proposal to Arathi because she was getting very popular and just to keep her under his control.
