None. I’m in binge recording mode, so I pretty much just go through the pieces I’m working on. From the top, over and over. Just leave the first 10 minutes with easier stuff. For example, I would never attempt the Crying for Rain finale within the first 10 minutes of starting. As long as you’re playing, your hands will eventually warm up, then you attack the more difficult stuff. And note that I rarely play hands separate. I usually recommend playing together so you have “context”.
@@RichardYangPiano I'm surprised, I have similar reach to you (larger palm and even shorter fingers) with max 9th and find myself really susceptible to injury :( I suppose you've been playing a long time and slowly built up all the necessary muscles
Usually if your hands or arms are near the physical limit, your body will tell you. If you keep pushing, that’s how injury may occur. So when you get close, definitely slow down. If you’re unable to relax, you’re playing way too fast. Slow down until you can practice without too much acid buildup.
@@raidgens8839 At least it’s so short. If you’re looking for impressive stuff, Crying for Rain this Friday will be it. Not the fastest on UA-cam, but should be very exciting.
@@RichardYangPiano I found it in the internet. I don't know why he doesn't release this sheet to public to monetize maybe because of copyrights I have no idea.
@@rogerl1203 Weird question. If you’re talking pianos I own, N1X with VST is hands down the best for “recording”. For just playing, my grand has the best touch, but the sound is not very refined. If you’re talking ANY piano, obviously I’d welcome a Steinway D. No uprights, ever.

I just brought a keyboard and with all the material on UA-cam I'm overwhelmed on how to start playing it. Should I just pick a song I like and copy until I learn it or should I learn basics more like scales chords and finger placement?
Bro, if you just got your first keyboard, Animenz is the wrong place to be. If you want a quick start, download the app called Simply Piano, it should be able to get you started fairly quick.
ur videos helped me a lot. Never seen this kind of free tutorial before ;) Hope u wil make more tutorial. It's really helpful
@@Reveur-h2o I’m sure you’ve checked out my Piano Lessons playlist. Lots of these and growing. Cheers.
Lovely. Thank you, Richard. I was hoping for this. I’s a short tune than you can learn many things from.
Could you please do a tutorial/run through for the daily exercises you do to keep your hands flexible and injury free while playing so much?

Nice tutorial! I used it to learn this song. Very easy compared to his other arrangements tho lol

@@RichardYangPiano can’t wait!! Also I’m using your Snow Halation tutorial to learn snow halation rn haha. It’s rly challenging!
I would love to hear you play Requiem of Silence both by Animenz and Theisther I think both of their arrangments are pretty epic
I have every single sheet from Animenz, don’t see this.

Very nice videos. If you could only have only one piano to improve on, what would it be, grand, N1X, or Silent upright?

@@RichardYangPiano Oh yes, I was not very clear, I meant between an acoustic, silent and hybrid. Thanks so much for replying! :)
