i watched this PPV last night for a joke and i passed out before it was over lol
Battleground from this year was far worse than December to Dismember
heroes of wrestling is THE worst PPV of all time but this PPV killed any hope for ECW to be taken seriously not even cm punk vs john morrison matches from 2007 could save it not to mention this is the show that caused heyman to say fuck this I'm out and ecw became fuckin lashley hour for like 6 months then vince pissed all over ecw by winning the title further killing it
This PPV was so bad that it made King of the Ring 95 and WrestleMania Xl seem amazing in comparison. The two matches that were advertised were the tag team match with the Hardys and MNM and the Extreme Elimination Chamber. That's it. All the other matches were basically filler matches that belonged in a Smackdown taping or ECW TV taping.

Another bad thing about this show was when Test eliminated Holly. The ref botched the three count, to where you don't know if Test even eliminated him at all.
What a wonderful time for me to take a break from studying.

I really don't get why wwe wanted to present this as a wwe show in Georgia of all places. Why would they bring in guys like sabu dreamer balls Mahoney sandman etc only to 1) have them rarely feature in the ECW title picture and 2) you were going away from the hardcote style that these guys were known for. This reeks of vince McMahon. I mean I could almost guarantee you Vince deliberately fucked this up so as he could point to the numbers and blame heyman for booking such a shit show. It really pisses me off when you've got the potential to make a killing here but the wwe and more importantly vince McMahon's ego won't allow them to because wwe is the be all and end all of professional wrestling.
Absolutely no PPV the WWE has ever put on has ever been this bad. The only one that comes close is King of the Ring 95.
dflowers30 Umm no. Wrestlemania 9 was way easier to watch than Wrestlemania 15, 32, 27, or 11.
And even still, those 4 Wrestlemanias still aren't as bad as December to Dismember or King of the Ring 95.
Battleground 2017? Summerslam 2010? WM 27? Oh, no 😅 December To Dismember may be up there, but it doesn't solely take the crown as the worst WWE PPV of all time - especially with what we've seen in the 2010s alone...
I would say wm9, wm11 king or ring95 were worst wwe ppvs of all time. only good matches at wm9 was headskrinkers vs steiner bros tanaka vs hbk for ic title match. outside of those two matches wm9 sucked. king of ring95 also when it comes to tna wrestling ppvs tna 2011 victory road ppv dvd I have is worst ppv in tna history. I have been tna fan have all tna ppvs from 2004-2012. because of matches also finish of sting vs jeff hardy tna world title match with jeff hardy on drugs bad finish.
This show almost killed a lot of people's careers. Worst WWE show ever.

The HORROR of this show was truly something else. By the time Bobby Lashley left the Chamber with the ECW belt (and the show quickly faded to black), I wanted to wash my eyes out with a bottle of Jack.
Wow I'd forgotten all about December to Dismember. Only ordered the show for the Elimination Chamber, didn't watch a single minute of the rest of the card up until the back end of Heyman's promo, didn't even know Sabu had been replaced until Holly made his entrance. Probably the worst Elimination Chamber match ever, comatose crowd with the occasional misery cheer, none of the six guys gave a shit, possibly the worst put together match I've ever watched.
Wish I'd just paid a dominatrix to beat me for a hour at ten times the price, would've hurt less and been more dignified lol
That Elimination Chamber match was the most disappointing match up until that point since Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 20 imo.

Remember November to remember. ECW. ? Now ECW got lazy. I get what they tried to go for too. Trying to come up with a new ppv for the new relaunch for they're ECW brand but yeah it didn't work. And on top of that to make it worst. The week after 1 of the worst survivor series ppv ever? Not even 2 weeks after. But 1 week omg. It was that bad. See that's why I stay on real glory days the attitude era. 97.2000. Because that's when everyone was really into wrestling. Everyone. Even parents. And yes. Because in 2003 2004 although still doing decent things. It was getting bad. Especially after stone cold had to retire. After mania 19. And all that. We got lod 1 last time apperence that year. Against. RVD and Kane. But how WWE jobbed them out real qiuck in the match. Brock was to be the new guy. But the rock was leaving too. Goldberg was good but nothing special. His run wasn't that good. Triple h being stupid. Berying everyone. And now he wants to talk about the future?, give me a break He's hypocritical and he's a big nose sellout. F*ck him. Nxt. Is garbage. Period. All these jobbers. And you forgot to mention. The botch Elimination. In the chamber. Alright so hardcore holly and Test were doubleteaming against I think rvd. But test big boots hardcore in the face. Pins him But the ref does a WM2000 spot. Where hardcore is supposed to kick out. But didn't. The comentators are confuse as heck. They don't know where hardcore is. But the ref counted 2. But he was still told 2 leave. It was rediculous.

Well if you remember big show was real fat and overweight 507pbs at the time. And needed a long long hiatus from the company. And when he came back in 2008 he lost 108pds and went down to 441pds. So that too. But big show was being made a fool at that point And wanted out. I agree

Welp, i fell asleep through the opening match and woke up to the FBI coming down to the ring, maybe that's why i don't remember much about it from the first time i saw it.

“Because we really needed RVD to last longer than CM punk in this match right? Um yeah we did. Ignoring the fact RVD back then was and always has been better than punk in every single way imaginable let’s also not forget that RVD had more of a reason to be there than punk. This horseshit that punk should’ve won this match needs to stop. The fucker had only been in the company for a few months at that point. I’m not trying to defend Vince in any way but Lashley was clearly a better choice than punk. Not the best choice, if you ask me they should’ve put it back on RVD because he had the perfect comeback story, Not to mention was one of the ECW originals.
Mr. Red 88 I would have taken Test or Hardcore Holly. Lashley really made no sense with that title. I get wanting to build him as an upcoming big star but really tje ECW brand wasn't the place to do it at.
I disagree with both of you. CM Punk made sense back then, because he was being built up as the new breed of ECW back then. Lashley literally joined ECW like a month before the PPV and you're nuts if you think Test and Hardcore Holly were more deserving lmao, the two most boring superstars in the match easily. CM Punk being eliminated 1st was stupid and eliminated one of the more interesting superstars from the match. RVD was the only other choice that made sense. When you think ECW and you think extreme, out of the 6 of them, Test, Lashley, Big Show, and Hardcore Holly are none of those things. Maybe you could say Punk isnt either, but def would've paid off to build him up instead of the shitty match and finish that was with Lashley

Mr. Red 88 It's more because he was supposed to be the leader of that "New Breed" of ECW. He should have been built up to take that spot from his debut but was so lazily booked against lesser opponents rather than right in the mix with Big Show, RVD, Sabu, Test, Holly. He did have the program with Mike Knox but it was ridiculously over Kelly Kelly.
