Absolutely loved this video! As someone of Filipino descent, this video felt extra heartwarming and very personal, like it was from one of my aunties. Salamat po!
"Mahal kita" in indonesia language 》》 mahal means expensive and kita means we. I think that indonesia language and philipphines language are quiet same in pronounce but totally have different meaning. Greetings from indonesia :)
The indonesians and indians have been friends with the philippines for over more than many centuries! That explains a lot. Mahal also means expensive in the Philippines
nurul harahap Filipino (the standardized form of Tagalog) and Indonesian (the standardized form of Malay in Indonesia) are both related languages. They are both in the same language family (Austronesian), as well as the same branch of that family (Malayo-Polynesian), so it makes sense that there will be a number of similarities between the two.
Char, I loved this way more than I should. I'm half pinoy and grew up in a household where the elders spoke Tagalog, but never to the children. I legitimately learned quite a bit from this. Thank you so much!
I knew you’re Asian but I never thought you are a fellow Filipino. I assumed you’re chinese because of your eyes. Wow! This is so cool! ✨Ang galing! 🇵🇭🙌🏻
I had no idea Tagalog was so simple! :O Please do more of this series! It even helps that you have the cleanest handwriting ever lol; you write better than every teacher I've ever had, that's for sure.
crystalwalrein Yeah There’s a few exceptions XD The hardest thing in Tagalog and probably any Filipino language is the verbs since it is very different to english verbs...
Definitely would love to see you do more of these! I’ve been trying to learn on my own so I could speak to my boyfriends mother and you made it easy to follow. Also it’s a bonus that I felt calm and relaxed. I think it’s naturally uncomfortable to speak a language you aren’t familiar with. When I first learned English it was hard and stressful. I also enjoy it because I’m going for a linguist degree and learning languages is my favorite thing to do
Wow, this is the kind of roleplay I love. Your voice is very relaxing and soothing. You look so beautiful. I love your smile and your bright personality. I love the white outfit and your hair, which is styled so beautifully. I wish I were back in school. I've never known a substitute teacher as lovely as you.
My girlfriend is Filipino and I wanna learn more Tagalog to learn more of her culture and I think it would be fun to surprise her with me a white Scottish man speaking Tagalog to her XD Thank you for the sleep too
Every time I listen to your sweet voice I immediately begin to relax. I always listen to you after work and even if I'm walking listening to you relaxes me. Thank you a million times
Ooh I'm really excited about this one!! Tagalog has always interested me, I tried learning a little a few years ago but it's harder to find resources on than some other languages! Thanks Ms. Char! ❤❤❤
The first time i've heard u speaking tagalog with one of ur videos i was amazed bcoz for 2 years of my subscription on ur channel this is my 1st time i've seen a full video of teaching tagalog with ur fans. Thank u for sharing our language. Mabuhay ka and more power to ur channel Kabayan!🥰
I had thought so too, until I started studying the language 10 years ago. It's pronounced Tuh-gah-log. Pronounce the 'o' as "oh" as in "open," with slight emphasis on the second syllable.
Sounds like an interesting language because it's almost like a code language. It seems there's something to it like saying spiritual things through the pronunciation, I think we lose track of that with English in the West, the 'meaning' of words is given more importance like shop is a place you buy things, we're obssesed with getting things correct and right and don't let the words be like almost like music where it shows something about someone's path and feeling and that's interesting to me, I could not be right but it seems they have a difference even though it can blur. Anyway, this video reminds me of being a boy at school with this patriarchal language teacher we had, one time we were all ready for class and he turned up at the next period when it was too late, he got mixed up so we had a good laugh at him then, that was good! Like how the word Tagalog sounds like one word, one sound, just so flowing and beautiful not clumpy like a lot of English words, beautiful is probably the only English word that compares, that said, when it's said in the correct way. Good to hear you're familiarity with the language and better cause it's your background, not careless, it's real, so hope you are going fine Fairy Char, how are you doing? Do you agree?.
I always love these language lessons in asmr. I wish they were continuing, like a series. To the point of actually being able to get by with the basic language skills anyway. It seems like I remember things I learn while tingling better. It was the same thing in school. I loved learning and getting what we now call asmr, back in grade/high school.
This is the sweetest voice and accent I've ever heard. I'm more into "No Talking" ASMR but I'm getting obsessed with your voice. It's like you're pampering me just by simply talking softly. Thank you so much for this. You just earned a new subscriber.
Will you do more of this sort of series? I offhandedly mentioned being interested in Tagalog to a friend (who informed me she is also learning from her grandmother) so we're going to try learning together now! ^_^ I'd love more of these beginner videos to listen to before bed! It's not nearly as harsh/loud as the audio CDs. Regardless, love your content! Thanks for all you do!

I played this video to study (having soft noise around helps me concentrate) and I wasn't even 2 minutes into it and was feeling sleepy so I would NOT recommend it to study, lol. But, besides my questionable studying strategies, this is a lovely video, it was really nice to learn some bits about Tagalog and Filipino culture c: Hope you had a good time with your family

nurul harahap "mahal" can also mean expensive in filipino! But "kita" is just used singularly. So they're very similar.

Agreed. Might as well get in some education with the relaxation. Po will stick with me if nothing else.
Try and say this: "Nakakapagpabagabag" hahaha
