    "Mahal kita" in indonesia language 》》 mahal means expensive and kita means we. I think that indonesia language and philipphines language are quiet same in pronounce but totally have different meaning. Greetings from indonesia :)

    • @AnaBPugnacious
      @AnaBPugnacious 6 років тому +10

      nurul harahap "mahal" can also mean expensive in filipino! But "kita" is just used singularly. So they're very similar.

    • @gandaraabby6196
      @gandaraabby6196 6 років тому +5

      The indonesians and indians have been friends with the philippines for over more than many centuries! That explains a lot. Mahal also means expensive in the Philippines

    • @josh_sqlla
      @josh_sqlla 6 років тому +6

      nurul harahap Filipino (the standardized form of Tagalog) and Indonesian (the standardized form of Malay in Indonesia) are both related languages. They are both in the same language family (Austronesian), as well as the same branch of that family (Malayo-Polynesian), so it makes sense that there will be a number of similarities between the two.

    Definitely would love to see you do more of these! I’ve been trying to learn on my own so I could speak to my boyfriends mother and you made it easy to follow. Also it’s a bonus that I felt calm and relaxed. I think it’s naturally uncomfortable to speak a language you aren’t familiar with. When I first learned English it was hard and stressful. I also enjoy it because I’m going for a linguist degree and learning languages is my favorite thing to do

      I had thought so too, until I started studying the language 10 years ago.
      It's pronounced Tuh-gah-log. Pronounce the 'o' as "oh" as in "open," with slight emphasis on the second syllable.

  • @Jiv_Ing57819
    @Jiv_Ing57819 6 років тому +3

    Sounds like an interesting language because it's almost like a code language. It seems there's something to it like saying spiritual things through the pronunciation, I think we lose track of that with English in the West, the 'meaning' of words is given more importance like shop is a place you buy things, we're obssesed with getting things correct and right and don't let the words be like almost like music where it shows something about someone's path and feeling and that's interesting to me, I could not be right but it seems they have a difference even though it can blur.
    Anyway, this video reminds me of being a boy at school with this patriarchal language teacher we had, one time we were all ready for class and he turned up at the next period when it was too late, he got mixed up so we had a good laugh at him then, that was good! Like how the word Tagalog sounds like one word, one sound, just so flowing and beautiful not clumpy like a lot of English words, beautiful is probably the only English word that compares, that said, when it's said in the correct way. Good to hear you're familiarity with the language and better cause it's your background, not careless, it's real, so hope you are going fine Fairy Char, how are you doing? Do you agree?.
