Shot in Malibu. The freestyle is about barring up. When my mom passed and I was working on The Wake-Up Call (My Debut EP) I shifted my style heavily to have a narrative/emotional focus, but the first music I released, and a large reason I fell in love with rap, was a passion for being clever and crafting hard-hitting punchlines. While making the EP, and with everything I’ve released since, I feel like I lost focus on showcasing my pen in that way. I’ve been trying to bring back that focus and skill through these freestyles. I chose Stories About My Brother because Drake recently released the instrumentals to Scary Hours 3 (phenomenal project) and said he wanted to see who’s barring up, so…yeah pretty obvious connection. You think he’ll see this? Guess we'll see.
