NPF PRESIDENT SPEAKS ON DEFECTION OF 21 MLAs FROM PARTY

- NPF president, Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu on April 30 said that the defection of the 21 NPF MLAs was expected. He admitted that with this development he said this is a setback for the party. Speaking to Nagaland TV, Liezietsu said that the 4 MLAs remaining out of the 25 MLAs are considered as heroes. He further said that out of the 21 defected MLAs some of them are hijacked. The NPF President explained that the differences cropped up between the NPF party leadership and the Legislature wing, led by Zeliang, over the election to Rajya Sabha Seat and the differences within the NPF from before that led to the political development of the NPF MLAs has taken place

Hats off to 4 MLAs really they are political heroes. What solution will we get if the leaders continue to fool us in this manner. This is purely defection for their selfish interest.

In my entire life, I have seen people shifting from one political party to the other, even overnight to the ruling party for the most obvious reason which is power and money. You are well respected sir for your firm stand on your principles. Few earn respect although many come and go as politicians. This current shifting has made me lose my respect for a certain candidate.

As we can see the present scenerio proves it that BJP no longer will support the Move of the state legislature on any Naga issues by the resolution of the State assembly. Where as there is no light in the tunnel from this Opposition-less Government to solve the Naga issue at the earliest...Political instability has begun.

Those 21 candidates may have their own reason of leaving the party but the NPF should not accept them back even if they try to join the party later. If there is any young upcoming candidate who really care for his people's we have to elect them. We Nagas should never elect those unstable candidates who thirst for money rather than his people's

Your criticism only proves you haven't taken any productive step for change where it's needed. Bad leadership is not just in the area of money but there are tons of factors that needs to be considered like your ideologies, mindset, attitude etc. Not bias towards any party or person but as stated, it's clearly a defection so why did the majority defect?
