What is a Plinth Beam and its Purpose in a Building?

Plinth beam is a reinforced concrete beam constructed between the wall and its foundation. Plinth beam is provided to prevent the extension or propagation of cracks from the foundation into the wall above when the foundation suffers from settlement. Plinth beams distributes the load of the wall over the foundation evenly.

Hi maam good day,my house w/out tie beam on the ground.should I strengthen my concrete post structural by applying reinforce concrete sealant to connect plinth beam each vertical post.do you think is helpful if I will do that way to my house.my house 5x10 square meter floor area 3floors.many thanks in advance.keep safe and god blessed.
