thanks for your useful video. My w211 220 cdi also has water in the taillights. What would you suggest??? At the Official Service they tell me to change the complete taillight package¡¡¡ Do you think if we only change the gasket will it work??? Thanks for your answer
Hello! I didn't change the gasket because the gasket is made of sponge and not rubber to insulate well. I have added silicone next to the gasket and no more water gets into my trunk. I used ("car mastic/ BRUSHABLE SEAM SEALANT") as a kind of plasticine.
@@ViewTube456 I didn't change the foam gasket because it looked like new, but I still had water in the trunk. I thought if I was going to change them I wouldn't have the same problem. Read the comment above as I explained there what I used to stop the water from entering. I used ("car mastic/ BRUSHABLE SEAM SEALANT") as a kind of plasticine. Anyway, the problem is with the gaskets. I don't think they are of good quality.
Much thanks for this question and for the reply ( from the you tuber), exactly what i needed to know , you guys are the BEST 👍🏻🙏🏻👊🏻

So what actually cured the leak please? You didn’t replace the foam gasket? What was causing the leak then? Thank you.
You found gasket sold separately?
