There has been so many adaptations of Cinderella but this will always be the best one! Great cast, beautiful costumes and songs you can sing along to and love! I had such a crush on Richard Chamberlain and still amazes me that there’s like a 20 year age difference between him and Gemma in this movie lol
Poetry in motion, This sequence is based on actual dance that was popular centuries ago..Also this was one of the last musicals of an era. Yes, I agree the best of a fine ensemble .
I love this cinderella so much... What a lovely and beautiful dress, and the actress is very very beautiful ♡ I love this dress's pink color and 18th century style. Best Cinderella ever of my all time♡♡♡
Fortunately the psychedelia in the late 70s really impacted this classic. When I watched it for the first time I thought it was so psychedelic and whimsical and the songs made it seem like a dream 🥰🌸🌸🌸
Gotta love the gobsmacked look on the Prince's face when he first lays eyes on Cinderella! Also, am I the only person who's noticed that the choreography for this sequence "borrows" a few elements from the Laendler which Georg and Maria dance together in "The Sound Of Music"...?
Love watching this film on Christmas Eve which me and my wife have done for years.my sister saw it at the pictures back in the seventies and I've been hooked on it ever since.am a true hard rugby fan so am use to seeing really hard battles on the pitch.but I get very emotional whenever I watch this film.and am not ashamed to admit that I often find tears in my eyes.gemma craven is so beautiful although am not sure if in fact she was married to Fraser Hines at the time.fraser was better known to playing Joe in emmerdale.ive got the DVD copy but am going to get the blue ray one now it out.p.s they don't make films like this any more it all volient and sex bring back the good old days when we use spend Saturday afternoon's watching such beautiful and enjoying films.
Would you *PLEASE* post the clip in which the Prince (in despair at his inability to find Cinderella) throws the slipper out of the window with the result that she finds it...and then the Prince's friend sees her with it and rushes to tell the Prince where she is. That scene (that kiss!) is one of the best in the film.
Back then, before electricity, if you were going to have a ball or some other social event in a big room with a lot of people, it must have required hundreds of candles! I pity the poor servants who had to light them all, must have taken hours!
They used products pearls and lace bath and shower gels they used here and could I have I one. I'll pay for it and 3 in 1 they used it and Irish spring bar soap and dove camusett bar soap it's quarter Irish about 30 or 35 percent...
Unpopular opinion, but I don't like ballgown. Love the wig and slippers though. I prefer the dress she wears later on when she's dancing with slipper in her hand...that one is so pretty. The wedding dress is also lovely. Richard Chamberlain is the best dressed throughout. 🥰 This and "Ever After" are my favourite live action Cinderella movies 😊.

I've always loved this style of clothing because the colors and patterns are so beautiful
We watched this over and over on our VCR as children
Same! Never realized how saturated the colors were thanks to our faded copy haha
Me too!
From an era when they really KNEW how to make great films! My collection of movies & music keeps growing thanks to SHOUT!
It was the Sherman Brothers (Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks) who wrote the songs.
The most beautiful waltz scene in any movie, and the best Cinderella. Nothing can ever match it's beauty and charm.
Still the best Cinderella movie ever made. The costumes are all 18th century accurate and the ballroom dancing has complete class!
18th century, kiddo. Based on the costume and settings.
True. My mistake. 18th century, not 14th lol
I love Richard Chamerberlain and I can't wait to dance with him. Love Chris
I 💘 LOVE this scene, they are so adorable!
Still the best adaptation.

Y love adorable prince!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
0:56, The only group of background actors who remember to do their jobs of bowing while the others slack off! Lol

2020 and still watch it...😍😍

Notice how the Prince can't even keep his eyes off of her. Oh yeah. He's a goner. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
AND WHERE THE HELL IS THE REST OF THIS CLIP?!
Would you *PLEASE* post the clip in which the Prince (in despair at his inability to find Cinderella) throws the slipper out of the window with the result that she finds it...and then the Prince's friend sees her with it and rushes to tell the Prince where she is. RIP Richard Sherman. :(
I don’t think it’s the best Cinderella movie,but it’s a good movie :-)
Looks good 😊
Could that dress be more beutiful

Showers are 1703 ad and 1700 ad.

Now this time Richard Chamberlain is wearing a wig.
Unpopular opinion, but I don't like ballgown. Love the wig and slippers though.

nice scene but not impressed by the waltz that was chosen.
The truth is, her dress was no different.
