Leave your home? Bug out? When (if) you return, expect everything remaining behind will be pillaged, looted, burned. Everything. Try it: Carry out you Go Bag, walk down the drive, turn around and picture your home completely destroyed. All furniture, prep food, clothes, guns, ammo, tools....everything. Do you really think it will be just fine upon return? Good idea to "bug out", huh? Stay if you can, stand and fight.

This is true. for most people all they have is their home and what possessions they have inside of it. For me to want to bug out things would have to be pretty bad. The most likely scenario would be homeowners in neighborhoods banding together to proect their homes from raiders. in that scenario most raiders would lose because they would be on the offensive in unfamiliar territory, they don't know the layout of your backyard or the inside of your home. they would be walking into a kill box and not know it. people would booby trap their yards and entry ways with explosives and other sharp objects. i can see people digging dead falls with spikes at the bottom and loose brush or cardboard overtop. so yea wont end well for the raiders.

It's crazy my home was built by the Original owner weird design and landscape practically got 3 deep wide revens on 3 side's I always wonder if the original owner Builder was a Ex-Nam Viet it's definitely not property easily creeped on if your not totally aware of the layout,
the back of the House is actually the front of the house ,
Long Wooded driveway Down steep Hill and the roof and attic is like a eagle's nest view in all directions, cool old house in the woods but just a lot of odd landscaping and general house design, I was like damn did John Rambo build this place .

I just remembered another food product to keep on hand. That's multivitamin tablets to supplement the reduced nutrient value of dried and freeze-dried foods. Water soluble vitamins (C & B complex) are more susceptible to damage from heat and light. That's why bottle orange juice, for example, has vitamin C added back into it, after it's made.
On that note, it's worth having some long-life fruit and vegetable juices on hand, too.
Trail mix, with seeds, nuts (especially almonds and walnuts), and dried fruits is a great one to keep. It's worth having a small hand full every day, normally, for better health.
(I've formally studied nutrition, but I'm not a dietitian.)

Good video/follow up. I agree food water, paper plates, napkins, paper towels, wet wipes, TP, fire starters/lighters, plastic silverware, solo cups, I also am huge believer in Jase medical (nice to have a couple packs of antibiotics on hand incase sick, or incase US unable to get enough meds for everyone/shortages. Then also normal medical supplies & meds for cough/flu. Guns, ammo, and magazines are a given, I also try to prep batteries, power banks, and have a small power banks and small solar panel setup(makes sure all 100%) also have a gas generator and try to keep 20-30 gallons of gas on hand. Like to be able to have a full tank in truck and carry an extra 20 gallons for refuel on the go to allow me to get 500-700 miles away from my current location. Also good to have tent, sleep bag, and camping air mattress or sleeping pad. Also good to have tools to fix things, duct tape, wd40, electrical tape, nails/screws, wire. Big thing I aways try to have is bug spray to keep ticks off me. Extra boots/extra wool socks, in many cases when it happens we will be putting a lot of miles and wear on shoes/boots, I have 3 pairs of waterproof boots, old pair for cutting grass and dirty work types of things, then a in use pair for hiking/hard use, then lastly a new pair that are my nice out on town boots that are just broke in. And I try to keep a old pair in my truck as backup to what ever I’m wearing.

In shtf, you wont have access to fuel. Fuel stations shut down when theirs no electricity. Storing gas in dangerous to your health long term and you wont store enough. You either be on foot or bugging in.

MREs are the same as all food. They need to be stored in cool dry place. The military does the same.

Goes by situational awareness, practice , also if you’re prepping never have everything in 1 place, you should have different areas of cache ( food, water, ammo) also you need to excercise (walking) in case cars don’t start or unsafe to drive, be prepared to walk away from everything quick, and most importantly tell nobody but in your group where your cache is hidden, god bless keep prepping, training, educating yourself

You have to filter, boil, treat...any water you might get outside of bottled water from an excellent source.
      My tap water is garbage....

Depends. If stuff goes bad gangs and such will door to door in a city. I would buy a remote place and store stuff there and go to it.

I've got a standard "Chinese" shotgun from Wallyworld. It's actually a copy of a Winchester. I went with 20 gauge thinking ammunition might easier to obtain than 12 gauge when times are tough. However, when shit totally hits the fan I plan on picking up my automatic weapon off the street. There should be plenty laying around.

How many guns can you fire at once? You better have some people you trust with you to reinforce your position. One man with 100 firearms is useless.

If you get into a shootout you have a high chance of being dead. Not sure there is a right way to survive in shtf what ever that might be, all you can do is make a decision and hope for the best.
