effect: 2x edge glow, soft(set all to overlay)
settings:
contract:50
Saturation:50
exporsure:-50
(make shadow darker)

On some clips it works but sometimes when I want something to glow I can't get the chroma key to make only that colour visible. Do you know how to fix it?

Ye that happens because the chorma isn't able to detect the colors properly. In that case, you'll have to screenshot the clip and use background eraser to to remove all the other stuff and then add it as overlay.
