    Panelists:
    Sarah Dickinson is enjoying a second career as a landscape designer and planting consultant following a career in the City as a property lawyer. She has an MSc in the Conservation of Historic Gardens and Cultural Landscapes from Bath University and is Chair of the Surrey Gardens Trust and Vice Chair of the Conservation Committee of the Gardens Trust. Sarah is currently leading a project to digitally colour copy and provide open access to the extensive Reef Point Gertrude Jekyll Garden Collection at the EDA, UC, Berkeley.
    Judith Tankard
    Judith B Tankard is a landscape historian, author, and lecturer. She received an M.A. in Art History from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, and taught at the Landscape Institute of Harvard University for over 20 years. She is the author of ten illustrated books on landscape history, including Gardens of the Arts and Crafts Movement (2018). Judith is an expert on Gertrude Jekyll and the author of Gertrude Jekyll at Munstead Wood (Pimpernel Press, 2015) and Gertrude Jekyll and the Country House Garden (Rizzoli, 2011). In 1989, she catalogued Gertrude Jekyll's photo-albums held in the Reef Point Collection, University of California, Berkeley, that was the subject of a book and exhibition, Gertrude Jekyll: A Vision of Garden and Wood. She has been a member of the Lutyens Trust since it was founded and joined a number of study tours over the years. She lives in Boston and gardens on Martha's Vineyard.
    Janice Parker, RLA, ASLA
    Since creating Janice Parker Landscape Architects (JPLA) in 1984, Janice has conceptualized and directed innovative landscape architecture for national private and public clients across the United States. JPLA has been honored with multiple awards, including the 2020, 2019, 2018 and 2016 ICAA Stanford White Award for Garden Design, the 2020 Veranda Outdoor Award, and the 2020, 2019 and 2015 Professional Merit Award from the CTASLA. JPLA’s work has been featured in Architectural Digest, The New York Times, Veranda, The Washington Post Online, Vogue, and Luxe Interiors + Design - to name a few. Janice Parker sits on the Board of Trustees for Bette Midler's New York Restoration Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to beautifying New York's public spaces and creating a healthier environment for those who live in the most densely populated and least green neighborhoods.
    Virginia T. Burt, FCSLA, FASLA
    Since founding Virginia Burt Designs (VBD) in 1996, Virginia has designed and directed healing landscapes for private residential, educational and public clients. VBD has established a reputation for creating gardens and landscapes of meaning. Virginia’s work has achieved international recognition receiving multiple awards from the American Society of Landscape Architects, Palladio and Canadian Society of Landscape Architects. She is one of seven women in the world with Fellowships from both societies for outstanding contribution to the profession. Clients appreciate and value her deep respect for place and for the human dimensions of each project. Virginia gets things built - beautifully.

    Lutyens's Orangery at Hestercombe is a small edifice, but it is a true masterpiece !!
    A masterpiece of elegance !! And elegance is of paramount importance !!
