thank you sooooo much for this video. it is really helpful. just fowarded the link to my sister cuz we was having difficulty figuring out the whole thing on our own
I followed successfully to the point where Vancouver.xsl showed up in my Microsoft Bibliography style list. But when I opened Word, Vancouver wasn't in the list of styles. (I'm using MSWord 2016) Any suggestions?
@@onchokeraphael2191 I'm having the same problem -- this procedure worked on my desktop (and the citation process worked but now is causing problems with saving the document), but not on my laptop. I went through the same procedure and have restarted multiple times, but "Vancouver" doesn't show up in the bibliography of the document! Please help?
It’s not a link. It’s the style file that you need to copy to the appropriate folder. First download the style file to your computer and then copy it to the appropriate folder.
Thank you for this video, so insightful. I got stucked from time 02:39 because my system has windows 10 with program (x86) and I cannot locate the style folder. Pls help me. My laptop make is hp x360. Thanks.
Once you have inserted the references, go to the References tab. Now look for Style option in the ‘Citation and Bibliography’ group. Here select the IEEE style. If it works please subscribe:-)
Great tutorial. I, however, encountered a problem. In the references list, the names of all authors are showing as initials and not as surnames with initials as is demonstrated in the video. Any help with this would be much appreciated!
hi, with both way, i downloaded the file and pasted at advised location, still its not showing in the styles of references. restarting also didnt helped. please help
I copied the vancouver xml into the style folder but in opening microsoft word when i checked i did not see the vancouver reference style among the options
to get the exact location where you need to copy the file, do this..open Word...go to "References" tab....in "Sources availabe in:" click on "Browse...", select the "Style" folder. This is where you need to copy the file. Let me know how it goes...Good Luck!

At 3:00 where he talks about copying the link for Microsoft 365, which link is it? Please help.
It’s not a link. It’s the style file that you need to copy to the appropriate folder. First download the style file to your computer and then copy it to the appropriate folder.

Check and see if you are using Vancouver style of referencing
@@nabeelakhtarrYes, I am
Thanks !! Vancouver style uses brackets instead of parentheses. How do I change this? In your example, parentheses are shown.
In that case, use IEEE style from the drop down list.
Thanks a lot.. Really helpful
Thanks u so much...really helpful
question about windows, how did you choose the window types?
I have given that in the video.
Very Very useful. Thanks
hi, with both way, i downloaded the file and pasted at advised location, still its not showing in the styles of references. restarting also didnt helped. please help
That is quite strange. If you think you have done everything properly, please use another computer.
Like we should follow the long link?
Yea
Thank you very much!
I copied the vancouver xml into the style folder but in opening microsoft word when i checked i did not see the vancouver reference style among the options
Check this folder for your file: c:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Bibliography
Hope this works!
i really dont see how this will help me cuz it just took me back to the style folder where i have already transfered the vancouver code
Did you copy the file from GitHub or from the google link?
From Google link
@regiment694 that should work fine. Strange
My Word is 2013
And it is not in the link 😫
What do I do?
Do you want to use square brackets for the Vancouver reference?
Mine isn't working properly as in my reference list is just bugging out
I reached til bibliography but then it doesn't contain any style folder. Where to save now?
The style folder location depends on what version of word you’re using. The location of each version is in the video. Please check.
Thanks for the tutorial bro it worked for me. just wondering if you know how to make the letters superscripts?
Just highlight the letters, go to HOME tab, click on the FONT submenu, and you will see superscript in the effects options. Select it, and press ok.
Didn't work for me idk why. I copied the file correctly but on my doc Vancouver never appeared
to get the exact location where you need to copy the file, do this..open Word...go to "References" tab....in "Sources availabe in:" click on "Browse...", select the "Style" folder. This is where you need to copy the file. Let me know how it goes...Good Luck!
