Survival Training-DIY Pump Drill and Start Fire, Learn to Make an Effective Trap, Bushcraft Skills

- Hello everyone! In this video, you will see how I spent a day and night in the wilderness without shelter and did quality survival training. I will show you the technique of making a pump drill and using ancient technology to start a fire in a primitive way. This method has proven to be very good and works 100%. I have used a dry piece of willow as the base wood and in most cases I get positive results. I will also show you how to make a very simple trap that is very effective and can save your life if you find yourself in a situation where you are struggling to survive. NEVER set traps unless your survival depends on it. I spent the night under the stars in a sleeping bag with the song of owls and foxes.
To eat, I prepared beans with bacon in a pot that I placed on a tripod over the fire.
Ingredients I used for the dish: smoked bacon, onion, red pepper, celery, cooked bacon, white beans, bay leaf, tomato concentrate, dry vegetable mixture, salt, pepper, and garlic.

I've just been foraging for 2 hours. I got wild garlic, elderflower, nettles, lambs quarters and dandelion leaves.

Is that the same as the stinging nettle? I made the mistake in touching one in Ireland and my thumb went numb. I think it’s great that you can find things to eat out there.
@@irishsakura1 Yes it's stinging nettles, but I used gloves. I'll dry it for tea. I got wild mint and wild fennel last week too.
I saw wild roses and lime tree flowers too. I'll go back mid week for those, as I need to process the nettles, elderflower and wild garlic.
@@debbiecurtis4021 wow, that is neat! If you made a UA-cam video of picking those I would watch it. I’m afraid to touch anything now. I mistaken the stinging nettle for the plant that smells like lemon when you rub the leaves.

Now can you please tell me what kind of strapping do you use for your tripod? And can you reuse it after it's been over a fire like that? And have you ever successfully caught anything with a snare like that? Also, if you had a choice of one single tool to take with you out in the wilderness, which would you take?

Hi Anna! Thanks for watching! A pump drill is much simpler than a bow drill. Try it, you will have fun! I used woven tape for the tripod (you can use any strong tape, even clothes tape) and left the tripod up for future use. Next time I will use it for an armchair. It is big so the fire did not damage it. I like knowing how to make traps, but I never use them for hunting. Have a great weekend Bradley s !

Hi Luxon ,l have a question. Being a country boy did you learn alot of your knowledge from grandparents? I didn't grow up in the country, but my grandmother who raised me did.l learned the old ways & still practice alot of it today.Tried &true.lf you were lucky enough to have a relationship with grandparents you are blessed &probably has to do with who you are today.l wouldn't trade my time with my granny for all the money in the world!!!❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏💪💪💪🐕🐕🐕
