@Jango Unchained the systems on the halo only allowed clean people through. The system was breached but failsafe were working. The flood didn't infect those 2 as they were useful.
Honestly, that's actually a podcast instead, which would actually be pretty funny having 2401, master chief, Arbiter, regret, and the gravemind argue over the story of the floods existence as 2401 and the gravemind tell it
You can really see the religious influence in Joe Staten's upbringing really come through in the Gravemind. Dude talks like he's a book of walking Bible quotes. Love listening to him speak.
"Do not be afraid. I am peace, I am salvation. I am a timeless chorus. Join your voice with mine, and sing victory everlasting" sounds just like a twisted version of Isaiah 41-10: "Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand". The Gravemind was the devil pretending to be God.
Yes, rotten flesh, horrible decay and sweet smell so empowering that you will puke because that is the growth of a infection form before it starts to attach itself to a host then the rotten smell start and the cycle repeats
Who else feels sorry for the Prophet of Regret? I have pity on him due to him being more assimilated into the Gravemind more than 2401. I mean due to the way he's speaking, he has to be in tons of pain!
@nwolf Very well. The Prophets didn't know what they were getting into by activating the rings. It would've killed them all and if that's how this "Great Journey" was going to go they would be finding out that the journey wouldn't be a pleasant one.
@MrGrayWallace the three hierarchs knew the truth of the rings amd covered it up because it would've led to the destruction of the entire covenant and the loss of their power
Hearing the jog clamp down like that after he says brothers it’s so flashy I know a grave mine is basically just a amalgamation of a bunch of biomass, but good God.
“This one is machine and nerve, and has its mind concluded. This one is but flesh and faith, and is the more deluded.” “You will search one likely spot, and you will search another. Fate had us meet as foes, but this ring will make us brothers!”
You know there something I never understand about the prophets. Even when they were in possession of the “oracles” which were created by the forerunners, why did they not listen when the monitors told them the Great Journey was a load of shit and how the halo rings were weapons.
All the prophets knew it was bullshit. I don't remember but I think that the war could have been prevented if they didn't stick with the great journey lie. It Is possible that that is incorrect
@@Itsjustavy it really does conflict with halo 3 because when the Arbiter is about to kill Truth he still talks about the Great Journey if they really believed it was bullshit then Truth would’ve probably told him straight up that they lied about the Great Journey all this time.
I think whats sad is that I think the Prophet of Regret genuinely believed the Great Journey in comparison to Truth who used it as a lie to gain power to attempt to ascend to Godhood.
British Flood: "This is not your grave, but you are welcome, innit"
The gravemind taking the master chief seems pretty scary since cortanna wasn't aware of the link he used to communicate with him

The smell of rot and decay
After you smell it, you're going to join it
Definitely cheese like
You would immediately be infected by the flood. If that didn’t happen it would probably be so putrid to the point where we couldn’t even smell it

His ordered his alien collective to go as far as ripping human children in half and eating them alive. I don't really feel too bad.
I have no sympathy for any of them after what their lies did to humanity I’d say Regret’s fate is a just end.
