that was intense, I had one kill once and the guy layed there for about a minute screaming gurgling and crying for help, it was actually pretty unsettling lol
The screams are actually something that make me feel a little sick, or i don't know if sick is the right word, but disgusted, as if those were actually real people..
My first battle was terrifying. I remember crouching in a corner and the guy next to me took one in the stomach and his screams shook me lol. i felt fear and anger at the same time lol
Yeah it's something they did so well in this yet didn't really focus much on RS2. I hope eventually they add a lot of the immersive PTSD enducing animations and final stands that made RO2 so immersive.
War is terrifying, imagine unloading 80 rounds down a hallway and as you reload there is no other gun shots however, in the direction you shot all you can hear is groaning and crying yet you know you caused that and you know you have to keep shooting in the direction the crying is coming from.
with John Gibson gone from tripwire it'll be interesting to see if that even happens. it's the series that got them famous AFAIK and he's one of the original creators.
That feeling you get when you and your buddy are pulling guard and you hear a sudden crack followed by a delayed gunshot in the distance, you quickly drop down behind the closest cover and glance over to him to check him, because that's what you do, and you see that hes struggling to breath because he got hit in the chest, he's starting to enter a state of shock, you want to help but you know you can't move because that sniper is just waiting for you to pop you're head up so he can pull the trigger, you're pinned down, unable to move, and do nothing except sit there and listen that unique noise you hear coming from him as he tried to get a full breath of air, his lungs are filling with blood, he can't breath, sucking chest wound, fuck what do you do, you need a bandage and to apply pressure, but you can't, because you'll die too, hes drowning in his own blood and suffocating because there's a hole in his chest, you look into his eyes and lie to him you tell him to hold on and that you're going to get him, you tell him hes going to go home to see his wife and his daughter that was born last week and he hasn't even seen yet, you know you're lying and it hurts but its all you can do, hes still trying to breath, FUCK, you need to do something, you cant just sit here and watch him die, you gotta try something, you put your rifle above your head and aim it in the general direction that the shot came from and pop off a few rounds, the sniper doesn't fire, maybe you hit him by chance, maybe he left, pop off a few more rounds, peek up to look, BLACK
Mark Patino i didnt copy and paste anything. All you have to do is google it, but that must have been too complicated to figure out, because youre too simple minded and would rather insult somebody to try and act tough on the internet.
When I was a young kid I wanted to be a soldier. Then i played Red Orchestra and I suddendly lost all interest in becoming a soldier .. I wonder why is that ?
my first match surprised me and scared me, I was one of those beginners that died within 20 seconds of spawning in or so, and yes, I was that guy that the SL was shouting at to get up and move because I was lagging behind. This game does war right, and I want more simulators like this.
I play it since release and they definitely exist, even if we do not ear them anymore for most of them. I think a bug was introduced that broke some of the souds, and rumors talk about TWI censoring the game for bullshit reason but I think this is a bug where some sound packages are not used, and it never has been fixed (maybe because they struggled to reduce some memory usage and they did that on purpose to let the game be compatible with 32 bits systems... with the 3GB limitation)
I'm a tanker but man the first time i heard that high pitch sound and the tank stoped and i saw the animation of the commander taking the place of the driver with all the blood and shit it was something...
I know this is a late reply but I found out if you go into the audio settings in-game and change 'Max Channels' to 128 you will notice more death screams and such. You will have to restart the game to apply the settings and make sure to check the settings again because it reverted back to 32 channels twice before it really applied.
Bob Nappa there's actually a lot of accounts of people doing it. Maybe not an MG34, but certainly with the American Brownings there were special techniques devised for "hip fire"
If you see many historical pictures of german troops aiming down the sights on stand position of a mg 42 while firing I’m no expert but I’m sure you can at least hip fire the mg 34
my war boner is so hard right now...
Lmao
You like killing Communists as well I see.

+slimyish It makes you want to move to different cover. But you might get shot on the way :/ . Might as well endure the gurgles.
The moment, when you and a guy are fighting in a cover, and after u are safe, u look at him why is he quiet, then you see that his head is gone.

i really wish tripwire hadn't removed those death sounds
they are in rs2
In RS2 Vietnam the death sounds are trash compared to this, no PTSD left.
Haha agreed, hope they gonna improve it soon
Same, its the only thing that bothers me and where I prefer RO2 by far. In any other regard (variety especially) RS2 is so lovely.
@@PuellaMagiHomuraAkemi Hearing a dude cry as he watches his comrade next to him get burned to a crisp by napalm is pretty ptsd, if u ask me

Why did they remove all these extra death moans and such? It made the game feel like a journey through despair.
They did? I wish they had more?
you can hear these if you set your sound channels to 128 in the settings

Best Game ever. Make you feel like you are really in war and shows you how to respect life.
Shows you how to kill better
how to get PTSD 101
When the game is too realistic... this is some ptsd inducing shit
Ro2 rly needs an remaster, the game- and gunplay was so fucking sastisfying.
with John Gibson gone from tripwire it'll be interesting to see if that even happens. it's the series that got them famous AFAIK and he's one of the original creators.
to this day i still think RO2 is the best 2nd world war FPS there is

Using sustained firepower to drown out the sounds of blood-curdling screams. German ingenuity at its finest.

you don't have waht it takes to endure the horror, don't worry i don't too,but I really sad about other who does, they will lose their humanity

Why did they censor all the brutal voice acting? This sounds way more disturbing, which is awesome.

There are pictures of Germans shoulder firing a MG 42. I think it's believable on the more controllable 34.
