GTA 5 - MTA NYC Subway R179 subway car showcase

- Hey everyone! Another mod that brings NYC realism is here: The R179 subway car. In this video you will see the train bypassing a station as well as taking a ride on it. Now some of you know may know that this is an R160 or an R143, but it’s not. The number plates tell you that it is an R179 (in this case the R179s are numbered 3010 to 3327). The R179s has a much different propulsion system than the R160s and the R143s. Although the car types of the R179 are similar to the R160s and the R143s, they cannot be interoperable due to electrical incompatibilities.
Thanks to @AyC4WT for releasing this to GTA 5 (although his friend Kenzie of his created the model). Without his support, these wouldn’t have existed.
NOTE: When Ay’ released the R179 subway car models, he signed it as an E to World Trade Center. The E uses R160s while the R179s are currently assigned to the A, C, J and Z trains.

And I am very sorry about the camera movement in the interior when I am riding this train. Because whenever I ride them while it is controlled by the AI, the camera moves a lot especially when it was traveling fast because the subway in GTA 5 has a lot of curves and that’s just how it is.
To anyone who is curious, the announcements that are played at the stations, those are in-game sounds. I used Audacity to record the sounds and then I have to make it single tracked so that it can play in-game. You usually hear these announcements when you are taking the subway, that’s why I added them to my game.
This is a pretty unique idea never seen it before and that haul is crazy you may have earned at sub
The whole showcase was really good but I believe the train would look good on other maps

It’s actually less than 200 mph. It’s traveling about 110 mph. To make AI trains go faster, change the values of the speed in the traintracks.xml file (traintracks.xml is located in common.rpf/data/levels/gta5). (Important: it is advised to increase the brake distance value for trains traveling at a higher speed than normal because if you don’t, trains will not stop at stations. Set the brake distance value to anything higher than the speed value)

I actually prefer it going fast at speeds over 55 mph. Because seeing them traveling very slow is too boring

The door chime? Well the sound for the doors are closing is one file. And I have decided to put a door chime like what the R62, R62As, R68 and R68As have cuz why not?

TBH, as the doors close, the sound is just one file. And it changes pitch. So the door chime changes pitch. I inserted the door chime file into my game and it plays when the doors are fully closed. That’s just how GTA 5 does with trains.
