Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said: فَكَيۡفَ إِذَا جَمَعۡنَٰهُمۡ لِيَوۡمٍ لَّا رَيۡبَ فِيهِ وَوُفِّيَتۡ كُلُّ نَفۡسٍ مَّا كَسَبَتۡ وَهُمۡ لَا يُظۡلَمُونَ "So how will it be when We assemble them for a Day about which there is no doubt? And each soul will be compensated [in full for] what it earned, and they will not be wronged." ( Aal-i-Imraan 3: Verse 25)
So, what if I decided to give a book, for example Kitab Tawhid to my childhood friend or a book about cigarette is haram but he never say thanks to me, in fact he's ignoring me, is it okay for me to be around this person?
Generally, you should make friends with a person who follow deen very serious. If someone is close to you and have bad habit, sinning openly, not following deen. Then just give him salam and remind him time to time, no need to stick around him all the time. Allah knows best. You can search detail answer in youtube or islamqa website .
@GintamaKintama-sx3zz Assalamu Walaikum wa rahmatullah Do you perceive this particular friend as significantly affecting you negatively, whether emotionally or religiously? Or, does his presence have no considerable impact on you?
@@theguidedpath1 Waalaikum salam, yes he is my neighbor, I can't avoid meeting him everytime I go to work, I just don't know if he's good religiously or not, but I do know he love to smoke lots of cigarettes in the past, he's helping me when my mother passed away, but after I gave him the books, he don't say anything to me, not that I want him to say thanks to me because this could lead me to feel Ar-Riya', but I think this is really bad akhlaq to not say thanks to the people who are kind to you. So I don't know how to deal with him.
