FOOTBALL SHOOTING DRILL

Everything you could possibly want from a high intensity soccer / football drill.
Two teams fight for the ball in the coned off area, win the ball and dribble through one of your gates to have a shot on goal.

When does the player go out to shoot ? After completing x number of passes or the moment they get the ball the dribble out of the zone and shoot ?

Hi, thanks for the comment. Totally up to the coach what conditions he puts in place for this drill. Yes you could have a set number of passes completed before dribbling out or could be just when a player has an opportunity to break out.

How big should the area in the middle be?

Hi Chris, I would say around 8m x 6m but it all depends on how many players you have in each team, just remember you want it to be congested in there with high intensity just like it would be in a real match, as soon as a ball goes out of play or if a player goes through a gate you need to fire another ball in there straight away.
