That skeleton is awesome! And I think this should tell you how to reduce the time and effort with this series There's no harm or stealing with getting positioning and proportions -- artists have and continue to do this all the time. Even big guys like Van Gogh and Picasso did just that. Learning from others is essential. Also, you can use copyright-free art that isn't graffiti but will provide the basis for things like skeletons.

I done my own wall mural a few years ago with a pencil and poster paint. I downloaded the original picture of a wall mural wallpaper on my phone. The wallpaper cost a lot for one roll, so I drew it myself. I drew it from my phone onto A3 paper with a pencil and colouring pencils, then I drew it again, but without colour and only the outlines. I had to draw a grid over it so I could fit the drawing perfectly on the wall. Then i drew the grid onto my big bedroom wall, then I started drawing the picture into the grid. Once that was done I removed the grid lines so it revealed the finished mural.
