Its a basic thing: if you enjoy something you forgive or ignore its flaws, if you're not enjoying it, the flaws scream out at you.
Personally I thought the origin section was a little off and doesn't feel like a good enough reason to quit especially for a man who goes after someone for disresopecting him in #1 - but we also leave the scene prematurely so maybe there's more we don't know.
One of the issues I have with the book is all the stuff they start to explain but stop short of giving you all the facts.
@@FrogTony I think to this point the all setup and no payoff aspect is the biggest flaw of the two ISOM books. I give it leeway because it's meant to be a three part story but Eric has a lot of work to do in order to bring it all together at the end.
@@FrogTony The book is full of people being enigmatic and I think Eric may be playing his cards a little too close to his chest. As you alude to and @ethanhandel1001 says, we don't get many pay offs so #3 is going to have to do some heavy lifting
@@truthedministry I mean you can say the arc only relates to Jasmine and Darren but more than half of book two was devoted to Isom and Bloodruth while Darren was put on the backburner. Honestly, I don't even remember Jasmine being in book two, but I could just be not remembering because her part in it was so small. So, I would argue you now have two separate storylines which need to be tied up in order to make the conclusion satisfying.
,
I hope Eric can pull it off but it's going to be very difficult. I'm glad he's brought in more experienced writers to help Rippaverse move forward. I think Alphacore was the strongest comic so far and there's a good chance Yaira will be even better.
And yes, I have read epic stories with separate arcs throughout. The trick to making them good though is the author's ability to tie them all together.
@@truthedministry I literally said I hope Eric pulls off Isom #3. I also noted that I think Alphacore was an improvement and I suspect Yaira will be another step forward. But sure I'm "siding with the haters."
I never said that they forgot about Jasmine, I said she wasn't in the entire second book. She literally gets mentioned one time and it's by Darren. She does not appear.
Fair point with not every storyline needing to be tied into the main plot, but I'm not sure why you seem to think I've purchased or read Cyberfrog. Are you responding to some big EVS fan and getting me mixed up with that person maybe?
Not to “um ACKTUALLY” you, but “sight” and “site” are homophones. Two or more words with the same pronounciation. Synonyms are words with similar meaning.
Omg there is so much Cope in this video from EVS. EVS is absolutely delusional if he things Isom 2 was a “really really good” book. Not to mention he admitted to only readying 65% of the book. The book is not a long read at all, you really couldn’t finish the book before talking about it? It’s crazy how these people will ignore all the issues with the book. Also it’s interesting that the school fight is his only criticism when he literally admitted on Twitter that the castle was a horrible shot.
Chromium reminds me of the 90s but it always seemed gimmicky to me. I rather Ethan save the money and give us a square bind with no staples so it can go on the shelf instead of a short box.
ISOM #1 selled very well, Yaira will too, ISOM #2 is doing great too.........
financially, Eric is doing very well, he has enough customers to be succesful - I cannot help but think that many are jealous of his success, regardless whether ISOM is good or not.
Many tried and many failed....and the Rippaverse got a lot of attention, other launches did NOT.
@@FrogTony he is financially very successful.....thats a fact , whether people like it or not.
He spent all his money, he bought a warehouse that he didn't need, he is not good with money.
@@FrogTony where is gonna have all the comics and merch delivered to then instead - his home ? not enough space I guess - besides, if the warehouse serves as his office, its a combo, not just a warehouse. YES, he saved his money and then spend it aka invest to start his business unlike others who collect it during the process - he wanted to be financially set from the start.
@@Thunderduck1 Look at his warehouse videos, the warehouse is never full because its bigger than he needs. 2ndly, he doesn't need to have it all year, just the 2 months around his campaign.
That 180 rule, I get but I didn't have an issue reading this, it looked like the camera was panning around them. I have a gripe with how sometimes Isom looks stiff like an action figure pose, not dynamic. If I have to compare I do think Cyberfrog is better after the 2 issues. Isom is getting a lot of world building and asking questions...But it's a bit much. However Cyberfrog has misspellings and grammar errors at times, example, go to last page of Cyberfrog 1 **larned**. It annoyed me because I was into the comic but that shit immediately takes me out.
@@FrogTonyI backed Cyberfrog 1 before I knew about EVS/comicsgate and “everything is woke” shit so I do have the first book. The art is pretty good, a little too busy at many points. But the story just isn’t interesting. Pacing is weird, not much to care about the characters, and the world building feels super lacking and ignored.
@@FrogTony hopefully you won’t be waiting a year like I did lol. It was not worth the wait.
15:10 Very interesting statement considering what ethan got caught doing.
@@FrogTonyhe doxed the name of someone who backed his book that pissed him off and said the customers first and last name on stream, information that he got from the purchase.
Congrats on being EVS's new drama farm channel. He pretends to not stir shit and be into internet blood sports, but the reality is he just does it on smaller channels.
Happy for Eric's success, and shocked at the detractors venom, but I don't like the art and the name ISOM is off-putting to me.
Eric is a racist pos and his comic sucks. Most people are afraid to truly critique it because of the color of his skin.
People regularly obtain bachelor's degrees in less time than it takes Ethan to deliver a book to his naive backers.
These guys are being petty.
@@FrogTony Maybe, but these guys sound like a bunch of women, whining. At least I know who Eric July is. I don't have a CLUE who these losers are. The only person I know here is Ethan.
If you can market a book for $3 or $300 and people are willing to pay that, whats the problem? Even if it's a "pre-built" customer base, why do you care? I'm sorry, but you people do sound jealous of someone who is more successful. If you could have his success, you would instantly.
@@FrogTony Passive-aggression isn't a response. It is a bit telling, though.
It means that his products are sheet. His sales came from blind loyalty of his submissive fans
