The publisher for Aqua Garden just launched a new game on Kickstarter (Sweet Lands) TODAY and they have Aqua Garden and ALL the expansions available as add ons!
New subscriber. Your enthusiasm for the hobby is contagious. I have been a board gamer for over 50 years with a massive collection of over 600 games. Your reviews are short and concise and that is so important and you show an overview of what the game components look like. You definitely have drawn me in to be a new subscriber. Thank you.👍👍👍
That sounds like an amazing collection! Thank you so much for the compliments, I really appreciate it! I put in so much effort to try to give everyone the best run down of games, so that really means the world to me! :)
Love hearing you talk about all the games you are going to make me play when they come. I am sending Earth your way and probably buying Tapestry tomorrow. You need to talk about your favorite childhood games ie Herd your Horses. 🙂
Ryozen is by Tabula Games that brought Mysthea, Icaion, and Sons of Faeriell to retail, so Ryozen will likely hit retail too. However, they're a smaller publishing company, which typically means smaller initial print runs, so it may not be in every game store (but a few of the big online stores will likely get some copies)
The makers of Aqua Garden are going to be doing a kickstarter for the expansion for Ostia, one of their other games. One of the add ons for that campaign will be Aqua Garden and all of its expansions.
Moonrakers also have an app that you can play co-op with. I believe its called Luminor. Its extremely well done and worth a try. Not only do the components look great but they feel great. its got some of the best feeling cards I've experienced as well as thick player boards. The plastic insert is also extremely well done.
So many good games out there, hard to get them all! Could you say the designers of the games you talk about? The publisher speaks on production while the designer speaks on game play.
When you said veiled fate i was gonna suggest moonrakers... then i kept watching. My gf doesnt get excited about playing too many games but she FIENDS to play moonrakers. It is hands down her favorite game and its definitely for the competitive player. Also IV studios is just pronounced by the letter. i-V. Great content, we're already gonna buy half your top 10 games you recommended in your other video!
Thanks for the assistance on the pronunciation (I'm horrible at that overall), and that makes me so much more excited to play both of those games! I'm so glad you like my videos and I hope you enjoy the games you purchase!!!
Merchants of the Dark Road: it's a balance between tactical and strategic, you need to be thinking a few turns ahead to maximize your game, but it's not like an Uwe (Rosenberg) game such as Argicola or Feast of Odin where you plan your whole game based on your occupations and improvements (Agricola) or chosen strategy (Feast); the tactics come in based on the journeys that become available for you to join in on (and the odds of getting something good vs losing something) ...
I grew up playing Agricola so, if it's less planning ahead than even that, Merchants shouldn't be too difficult for me to pick up! Thanks for all of the detailed info on these games, it really helps me to better understand them!
@@AfterEvenfall You'll have no problem with Merchants then ... Agricola, with Farmers of the Moor expansion, is one of the most brutally punishing board games there is ... every move is geared toward feeding your workers and keeping them warm ... your whole game is literally planned around not begging ... I love classic Uwe games (and, FYI, Ora et Labora is critically underrated, and only Tom Vasal and Rahdo sing the praises of Le Havre, which plays best at 2 [or 3]) ...
IV studios will have a Kickstarter for their new content for Veiled Fate on the 12th of March. Might be a good time to dive into the game. I personally enjoy all of their games.
I just binged your whole channel! Very enjoyable and interesting game choices too. Can you do a video on your favourite "experiences" as it seems like you have had some fun times :)
Veiled date and Moonrakers are both great. If you are in to negotiation games you should enjoy it. Merchants I wasn’t a fan of and pretty disappointed after I got done playing it. My group got rid of it after our first play.
That's such a bummer that it didn't live up to the hype for you! And I'm crossing my fingers that Veiled Fate and Moonrakers can make it into our house this year!!
Nicely done! Have you tried any of the Unmatched series? My wife and I recently got one of those and its been a fun quick/light game for either a warm up or break from the heavier stuff!
Moonrakers is a blast to play. IV studios has done a great job on it and they also made veiled fate which is a game I’m interested in. Mythic mischief is a great 2 player game by the same company if your interested.
I love the content! I’m happy you have time stamps, but I would love to see the name of the game in place of game 1, 2, 3, etc. It would make it easier to go back and find the game I’m looking for in the video. And again I love the videos!
Never heard of Aqua Garden Just did a quick search and there is one shop in the country where i live that's selling the KS bundle with expansions. Not in the US though. I could try and post the link if you want to try contacting the shop?
So I just wanted to chime on regarding moonrakers; I own it and my girlfriend and I love it and it's been a hit with almost everyone we've introduced it to. However I wanted to touch on your statement when you said you heard it's good at 2; unfortunately I would say this is not the case. For 2 players you need to play with a dummy player and a lot of the fun that comes due to the negotiation is lost due to this. There is a co-op mode that you can play with 1-5 players though using a steam app that is fun though but it's different than the standard moonrakers game mode. Also I would highly recommend Veiled Fate as well, everyone we've played it with has thoroughly enjoyed it!
Kanban EV [4.3 weight], haven't played, played the original Kanban [4.4 weight], and it was the only game about car production where everything made sense, but, like every Lacerda game, it's a very heavy game ... I also owned / played (years ago) Automobile (Wallace, known for Brass) and Kraftwagen (Cramer, known for rococo, Glen More, Lancaster), and Kanban felt like the better automobile industry themed ... in other words, great game, but expect a learning curve
I'm starting to get more and more into heavier games and, even though they generally require a lot more learning, I'm really loving them so much! I feel like the last two or three years have really produced a lot of successful car-themed games and I've been pleasantly surprised by how good all the gameplay is for all of them!'
Just was recommended your channel. I love how passionate you talk about board games ! Looking forward to seeing this channel grow :D
Aww thank you for the support, it means so much to me! I'm excited to have you along for the ride!

I'll have to keep my eye extra fixed on it, then. I'm dying to buy it!
Kanban EV is on our wishlist as well! Other than that and 3 Ring Circus, I haven't heard of any of these games. Thaks for shining a spotlight on them!
I'm so glad to share! Hopefully you like them! :)
Anything by Vital Lacerda are incredible games! Kanban is a good starting place.
Great list! I’m also interested in trying most of these. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Paleo, Kanban EV, and Moonrakers!!! All three are FANTASTIC 🎉
I'm so glad you love them, and this just makes me want to play them all the more!!

NO WAY! Oh my goodness, you just made my entire month!!!
I LOVE my copy of Aqua Garden and yes the expansions are worth it!!
No matter what title you think of, just don't buy until you try. BG caffes, friends, BGA, or at least a video playthough, there are plenty on UA-cam.

Yes I will definitely try to add that in on my future videos! Thanks for letting me know!!
This is a good suggestion

Great channel! Keep it up, loving it so far :)
Thank you so much, that means the world to me!
Paleo is so much fun. I hope they bring some of the expansions to the US.
That would be awesome I'd love that!

I'm totally interested, I'll have to take a look at it!
@@AfterEvenfallthey actually made an expansion for it this past year for more faction variability.

I really like your jumper (sweater). Are you able to tell me where you found it please?
Also, great video. Keep up the good work 🤘🏽
I purchased it off of Etsy, I'm so glad you like it!!
Omg your collection is soo beautiful!!! I love games with good artwork and pieces. Could you recommend me couple games for groups of 7/8?
Thank you so much! I'm trying to sort through those right now to make a video in the future about group games! :)
I love your Videos and that background 😍
Thanks so much 😊

That is so good to know, thanks for telling me! I was wondering how negotiation would work with only two at the table.
Great vid, very well edited!
Thank you so much!
I recommend you watergate. Great game for two.
I'll have to take a look at it!
Have you ever played Genotype? I think it’s really in your wheelhouse!
I haven't yet, but it looks like a game I'd love!

Kanban EV is excellent. 3 Ring Circus is okay.
Good to know! :)
Wow how are you so knowledgeable about board games AND pretty?! Love your channel!
Haha you're too sweet! I'm so glad you love it! 😉
Paleo is a good game but with small replayability
Good to know! :)
