Yes you can put it on a mannequin if you have one, but if you watch the video, i inserted an empty bottle into the already joined sleeve to hold it open

No i didn’t double the net. I used the bottle to hold the sleeve opening apart in order for me to fill up the empty space close to the sleeve seam. I did this after sewing the sleeve to the dress because i couldn’t lie it down flat
