Tanner I’ve watched kyle Larson several times and am impressed at his throttle control. He has some throttle all the times not the off & on like you seem to do, smooth on and off add to that he’s never intimidated , never makes excuses. A fa

Maybe you need to purchase a midget for THR and do some practice races or days just to get the feel for Chilli bowl each year. Your going good, keep it up.

12th to 8th with only 1 passing position...agree I wouldn't be happy either. Throttle to track positions lack consistency and still backing off almost in panic mode when behind another car entering corners. It almost seems in karts you have no fear bringing success but in midgets and 360/410 somethings not quite clicking? All the same keep on hammering enjoy your channel

    Reaches to shift the wing...
    "I'm sorry Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that."

They do have cockpit adjustable shocks though…

    • @skepticusmaximus184

@H3110NU That's gonna take some getting used to. Sounds like there’s about 3 or 4 ways to adjust stuff that you don't have on a winged sprint. But on the winged of course there's wing adjustment. TMez would be the guy to talk about the difference from both sides. I'd like to hear all the pros and cons of each.
I just love watching these guys though, because they get so sideways and crosed up through the corners. Counter steering just looks cool. 😊👌

As I've been mentioning for 3 years, you need to find a ride for the usac west coast swing, perfect timing after sprint car season. Should have stayed with the Wednesday night prelim, way less stacked races tonight. You just don't seem as comfortable in that car as you did the CBI car. Best of luck on Saturday

It's tough running the first night out. Plus you are in a new car with no notes to work from. It's a tough race if everything doesn't go just right. You did pretty well in the "B," just didn't get enough laps in the car at pace to be comfortable earlier in the night. I believe that's why you are seeing more drivers showing up at the shootout so they can at least get a bunch of laps on the track before the chili bowl.

Nice job Tanner. Suggest some practice with the car, some extended practice. You are a Classy, Wonderful sportsman.
Knowing this year will be a good test of your skills, I will be following you this year, may go with the tour, NARC into Washington and Oregon, back into Cali.
Let's learn the equipment, then show all of them you know how to Win.
Cowboy up and slide to the front.
    Let's gooooo.

You are always honest with your critiques. Great character.. No substitute for logging laps. I swear Larson races 8 days a week.

I feel like some time in a wingless micro race at millbridge would help. Plus the shootout could be four divisions instead of just the one

Tough go Tanner. Keep your head up. It almost seemed just from watching your B main that you were in panic mode causing you to over drive slightly.? Don’t get down on yourself. You will get ‘em Saturday! 👍🏽

And then you found the middle. Everything so fast, laps, re-coop from a bump. Good lines, good pedal control. You know you got to be good in the first 4 laps. Turn Right, Go Left, Be Fast

As a ps to my other comment, I have a friend who’s a graduate student in philosophy, and a little like you in that he seems the feel like if you talked about “it” enough what ever the problem it would go away. Still a fan

You need more seat time and that's hard to get when you only race once a year in these cars. I wish you good luck in your next outing.

You need experience. That's all. The CB is a very different beast. Takes a few years for most drivers who don't run midgets full time to work it out. Sadly you have to wait like 355 days to try again.

Tanner steps on his spilled milk on lap 1 from the pole (again again) and yet the thumbnail is pointing fingers. Classic Tanner "Yeah But" Holmes

Apparently you’ve never talked with sprint car drivers they’re all like that that is why I kinda have a rotten taste for sprint car racing I think Tanner is a great person but I don’t like the way he addresses on track mistakes
