@@markroden well start with reviewing some of your friends and family vehicles just to get the ball rolling then started asking some of your viewers to let you drive their cars and take it from there.
Pretty random but maybe do a list of common red flags in marketplace listings and things to check. Idk if you got it in america but showing people how to check info on the car based on plate or vin would be a really good resource for people who are new.

With 104k subs you need to invest in the channel. You can only make so many videos by talking about cars. Reviewing subscribers cars is a great way to retain views and grow the channel. You also need atleast 2 project cars on the channel. A street car and a racecar, you don’t need to have a 1000hp but you get the idea. I am still amazed that you’ve managed to get 104k just by taking about cars. investing right now will pay off in the long run.

- vs car rivals ex: Subaru WRX vs Mitsubishi Evo or Camaro vs Mustang rank both in looks, perfomance, best to mod, horsepower, mpg, etc
- go through every car brand ever based off of the “sports cars” with there potential and actual sports
- also the do a vid on the Saturn red line
- cars that look good that aren’t fast
- cars that look bad but are fast
- rank people sleeper builds in the car community

I think making a guide on car mods for beginners would be really useful, there’s so many terms ppl throw around. also explaining what kinda mods u should do urself vs mods u should get a mechanic to do, how to find a mechanic, etc

Car builds in the mix would help a lot. Grab another inexpensive car and get a build going. With a direction + learning a driving sport. Drift build, track build, off-road build. Take us along the way learning the car and a whole driving discipline.

@@markroden there’s this UA-camr I watch who does these videos about great options of vehicles for cheap and puts them in easy to understand lists. His name is Mark Roden. Check him out! 😂 but for real you can do it. It’s an investment for the channel.
Plus since your channel is relatively large I’m sure there are brands that’d be willing to partner with you on this to assist in some parts. Miata, sn95 mustang, 350z, Z3, rx8, any of them. I know areas are different but those are usually hovering around anywhere between 3-6k in decent enough condition to be worked on and made for drift/track! Just like ChrisFix’s drift stang series!
With your budget series. Start a project every 2 years show what it cost to be into cars like you been doing. But also. Sho us viewers how to enjoy cars. Like take us to car shows and let us feel the passion of cars and where it takes you. Date ideas and more driving blogs

would be cool if you did some car history stuff - maybe like failed concepts, car rivalries, other quirky stuff like that would be interesting

Could do a series where u build a hypothetical car from nothing and you can select any 1 part from any car ever made to it. Ex. Engine from a DB12, Rear bumper from a Ford Taurus, Front bumper from a G37. And you can't use the same car twice. Could do some editing then come out with some random looking car. Could add a challenge or stipulation such as weight limit, height limit, the car's price has to be made from cars going under 10k. Not sure if I've explained this thoroughly, but I feel like this could a fun series
Hey Mark, I'm gonna try to make this comment as constructive as possible. Yeah you can do car reviews as people say, that would actually be nice to see. You can also inspire yourself from other youtubers and see what they do such as donut, that dude in blue, throttle house, etc in your own way. Modify their concepts, adapt them for your channel. You could do some cinematic, go to events, races, or collab with other youtubers, make videos with your friends, drive their car (maybe with them, that would be fun) by reviewing it, review your own car if you haven't done it yet, make a deep dive on it, or just live and travel in it by making a serie on your journey (like you could go to LA, nature, road trip with friends or idk). I know you dont make a lot of money, and your still starting in a way, but you should invest more on the channel if you want it to be your only one job (like cameras, you could buy those that sticks on the car to change povs such as the exhaust, roof, sides, dashboard, etc.). Also, your channel is more personal than the others in my opinion : you share more, you seem more like yourself. Keep it like that! And an example of concept you could do for future videos (I put it last because maybe you did it already or someone already had this idea in the comments) : find a cool car no one really knew about in the car community (like a really underrated car), present it to us, tell us its history and why no one knows about it/why it failed. Keep it up man!

What's up Youngster!!! You're still doing awesome! Ok ready.... more deep dives. Start with the hilux and the ford ranger you love so much. Do like 10 meaningful deep dives. Do an ugliest vehicles list. We love your delivery and your content. Add that to these types of videos. Ask friends and family about driving their cars for Rodens reviews. I did that in the early 2000s and got about 35-40 people to let me drive their awesome vehicles. You're killin it man. Keep it up!

Hi mark, long-time viewer of your channel here, been watching your videos for years.
Now for the idea you know how Donut Media has this Up to Speed series that explains car brand history and racing history of tracks, teams and stuff you can also add how engineering stuff works if you want. So the main idea is you make your own take on that like a documentary of this type of stuff in Mark Roden style (i'd definitely watch this) and you can always follow up with a supporting video like main video be like "Alfa Romeo: *catchy title*" and after you explain history and most successful cars of the brand's span you release another video talking about the best cars from that brand for every budget for example or if you did a Nurburgring track episode you follow up with a video about top ten cars you'd use at the nurburgring for every budget for example.

Note: you can also do like the Money Pit series on donut media buy a car to modify and film yourself modifying it like "today imma do suspension" "today imma do an engine swap" "today imma do an interior refresh" etc... this would also make a great idea
Film more irl content... go to car meets go for drives and talk about cars. Kind of like Bimmer Fam and those channels, but not just beamer focused
You could also do a video on engines. Its so hard to keep track of all of them. You could do a honda version, a BMW version, toyota etc
Do a "Now vs Then" series where you compare new prices and stuff vs what you would pay for it now. Example what a 3rd Gen Camaro cost in 1992 vs what the market place guys are asking for the same car.
Hi mark, been watching you for a while n I love all your series. However I’d personally like to see a video along the lines of “cheap touge/canyon drive cars” or maybe even most gas efficient cars or most reliable.
@markroden With your access to a master mechanic like your dad maybe you can pick a car and do little but on how to maintain and also the most common things that go wrong with the car and how to either fix it when it happens or how to prevent it from happening altogether.
That’s what a lot of you guys seem to want so I think I’ll make it happen haha

now that you have a bigger following, branch out. maybe try going to car meets and filming some stuff there, and maybe with your YT following as credit you could get some people to let you drive their cars, so you can start making reviews on the cars after having seen and driven them in person. maybe try doing some short interviews with prominent people involved with cars. really anything to branch out and expand your content. cant wait to see what you do.

More how to build videos, more good bad and ugly, review the cars in person, start a project car and post progress, buy and resell/trade series till you get your dream rx7,

I have a video idea for you. How come you just don’t put the best way to buy cars either new or used if it’s used try to use different tactics like for me bring a large cardboard you can get a box and cut it to size but slide it under the car and turn it on and let it say about 30 minutes or so you can see anything that leaks

I'm genuinely quite bored of the good, bad and ugly format because of how you always have to justify that the "bad" points aren't actually bad etc. That may just be me. The videos are still good quality but I feel they may be a little stale!

Idk if you alr do this but attend some car meets and get live footage and talk about the cars that you see there. Like totally geek out on the cars there, check them out and maybe even rate the car/build. It would also help with meeting new people or even subscribers. This would be a more of a monthly or maybe weekly if you can find car meets that often.
