Sending my Void vacuum lid into manufacture a second time. Over time it vacuums less and less. Maybe this time they will replace rather than repair. This was after following all cleaning instructions.
I am sending it back for cleaning too! They need a design change. I taped a laminated card over the vacuum holes and find that it still sucks the air but prevents a lot of the juice from getting sucked into the holes. They need to design something they can slide in to cover the hole and protect it from getting clogged but still allows air to be sucked out.

And how much of a vacuum are we talking about? Zero air? What's the unit of measurement for a vacuum? Do the manufacturers use this unit of measure as a metric? I have questions.
Hi John, can you use frozen bananas and fruits in the Void vac blending craft? Can you make a video on frozen fruit in this vac blender please. Thanks❤
yes, you can blend frozen fruits in the void carafe. IF you are vacuum blending, you NEED to add water or other liquid or it will NOT vacuum blend. However, you can use the void carafe with the tamper it comes with to blend not under vacuum to get it to blend up to nice cream if that is what your goal is.

Or should i get a reconditioned vitamix or blend tech and get the void system? i have anemia and other issues so anything that provides the best amount of fibre and nutrients is the goal! any advice? thank you for you work, saving lives!
Hi. I personally would buy a used/refurb blendtec and a void lid. This way you have a more durable carafe - the blendtec made in the USA vs the void carafe that is made in China. While the void blender works well, I am concerned about the long term durability. If I was in your situation, I would be sure to vacuum blend many things with leafy greens, bell peppers and tangerines and other whole plant foods to up my nutrition.
What kind of anemia do you have? Is it an iron deficiency anemia? If you're anemia is due to iron deficiency, the diet alone is not going to increase your iron stores. You need to supplement with an iron pill. I'm speaking from experience. By trying to only up your iron levels through the diet alone, you will suffer needlessly much longer if not indefinitely from anemia.

The void lid I have now goes to 16 or so. But when I first received it would go up to 18. Still works good. What does yours go up to John? Went through one blendtec jug in one year. Costly replacements for only the bearing leaking. I might send it in for an ‘upgrade’ in a year or so if it loses more sucking power.
The amount it goes up to varies honestly, depending on the lid and my location. At sea level the number will go higher and if you are at higher elevation the number will be less. I have had lids that usually easily get to 16 to18. Not every lid will get to the same number. The exception is the unreleased high pressure lid that easily gets to 20, and maybe even higher. Of course the more vacuum, the more you will blow out carafes, but the more vacuum, the more nutrients retained.
@@discountjuicers at $120 a jug for Blendtec …. Don’t you think the best option is just to use a tribest blender And use the amazing 15 year warranty as often as the blade assembly leaks? And to get the same amount of suction as the newer void lid, by simply using the hand pump that gets a stronger suction on the Tribest?
Hey John, thank you for the interesting comparison! I need to get a new blender and don't want to spend more than 800 $. These features are important to me: - very good overall quality - very good, creamy smoothie consistency (I only use the blender to make green smoothies. No soups, nut butters, etc.) - vacuum blending feature (built in, Void lid or pump) Which blender solution could you recommend? For example I'm thinking about the Vitamix 750, which is supposed to be really good with creamy smoothie consistency and overall build-quality. Then for the vacuum feature I would have to get the Void lid + carafe. Thanks for your help!
Vitamix blenders generally blend to a fine texture, but they dont have a vacuum carafe. Once you use the void vacuum carafe, then you are at the will of their blade performance, which may not be quite as good as a vitamix carafe in terms of grinding. You would not want to get a blendtec as they dont grind as well.
Any idea when high pressure void lid coming out? Seems like the best one. Also have you had the smoothie go into the pump while blending? I saw some Amazon reviews saying the void lids are faulty design because when you blend it shoots the smoothie upwards into the pump and its a headache to clean
hopefully within the next year, they are doing new tooling/etc. It will be $100 more than the normal model, but it kicks butt! That being said, it will likely blow out seals faster, so you may need to replace jars more often. But the science is clear, more oxygen evacuated = more nutrition and longer storage with less degradation. YES! void lids are DESIGNED to keep pumping while the smoothie is going, this ENSURES any air that comes out of the produce is evacuated as well, giving you a higher quality blend! The downside is that if you overfill the container, the smoothie will get sucked into the vacuum pumps, I have done this many times, but just run water thru it right after your done, and it can be cleaned out and is not an issue. It was designed to suck liquid without damage. Of course if you dont think this is beneficial, you can get the void to pump down the carafe, and then simply hit the off button so it will not continue to pull a vacuum, while you are blending.
@@discountjuicers well when you put it that way it makes more sense, I will eagerly wait for the new void lid model. Looks very promising! I been blending for years so I can’t wait to taste the difference.
I just shut off the void lid while it’s blending To what level does the new vacuum pump work from void? Yes, I can imagine it would break the seal on the bearing eventually. In that sense the best deal would just be to get a Tribest and buy an extra jug and use the hand pump to get the strongest suction… and inevitably when the blade seal breaks, send it in for a replacement every few months for the next 15 years (and have the extra jug for while it takes them to send the replacement blade... 😂 seriously that seems to be the best solution as long as they will honour the warranty. When I had a Tribest I went through about four blades in one and a half years. And that’s aside from the issues that they were having with their motor. In my opinion, the blades on the tribest only last about six months at three times a day, being suctioned with the automatic suction, unless they have also upgraded their blades assembly?
@@GodDieux so you had the Dynapro but now you use the Void lid? How is that working out for you? Have you had to have anything repaired or replaced under warranty? Did you have to pay for shipping the land back to the company? There warranty policy seems to indicate that the buyer has to pay return shipping, which is not acceptable to me. Thank you in advance for responding.
Unhappy with the Void vacuum blender/Vitamix conversion kit. First vacuum lid only worked on Vac+ setting. Sent back, company replaced lid with new one. 2nd lid has lost vacuuming power over the last 2 months, never even getting to the lowest setting of 8. Carafe is too small, liquid gets into the pump system and sours. Lid is extremely hard to get off the carafe. Regular lid has no lip to get it off. Very disappointed. I quit using it today!

@@fflaniganMe too. I was optimistic after hearing John say Nama are working on a solution as he is in close contact, but I’m more inclined to believe plans were scrapped as there’s little to no demand for vacuum blending, surely there’s no profit to be made in this area for Nama? Also the Hurom M100 which is identical to the Nama C2 but was released a year earlier now looks like it’s phasing out in Europe already and I believe the C2 will only be around for a couple years before being discontinued.

Hi John, When I start the Void lid to vacuum , liquid is coming out from under the red release button. Is that normal and if it is what about mold problems inside the lid. How are you to clean it?
I had the same problem! I sent it back to be cleaned. But next time I will tape a laminated card over the cavity with the 3 holes. It should help with protecting the holes but still suck the air out
Hi John, I have an old blendtec total blender (like yours in the video). I've always had the issue, that it won't blend long enough to make a nice smooth consistency of my green smoothies. The "XL Smoothie" setting is like 50 seconds (too short). Does this blender actually have a manual mode where I can decide how long and at what speed it blends? Thank you!
I am no expert in using blendtec blenders... I own several models, and each one has a different settings and features. Generally, if the blendtec has a + and - button they can be used to manually set the speed of the juice, and generally it runs continuous. I would say contact blendtec as they would know specifically.

Ya lost me at 9:27, "...the best made in America blender..." I phoned them last week and learned that they are no longer all *made* in America. They are all ***assembled*** in America. Their motors are currently outsourced (Mexico and Texas) which is why their longer warranties are non existant now and the consumer is forced to pay a premium for the same thing that came with the product in 2015 when I bought one. I sold that when I moved across the country. And there is no way for the consumer to know from the serial number which country the motor was made in. It's a crap shoot. Hence, why I'm looking at different brands.
The void system for vitamix CAN be used for juicing that being said, its better to have a vacuum blender with a larger carafe for vacuum juicing due to the volumes being processed.

Did you have to pay shipping to send the lid back under warranty? The policy on their website seems to indicate so.
Hi John,
Is there a more effective vacuum lid available for the Nama C2 pitcher as of yet? Is a vacuum lid for the C2 pitcher going to be available in the near future?
Thanks 🦋
Not yet. I know Nama is working on an official Vacuum Blending Solution. I am not aware when it will be ready. Hopefully within the next year.
@@discountjuicers Thank you, John. Have a great morning. ✨
I emailed Nama about a month ago and they responded saying they currently have no plans to create a vacuum attachment for the C2
Hey, John how much and when do you drink juice a da? Just bought Nama J2 using your code Thank you! and it's coming today! I'm a beginner so I guess this my first dumb question!
Hey be sure to watch my batch juicing 101 video: ua-cam.com/video/9GJCpfdf2P4/v-deo.html
and juicing 101 video: ua-cam.com/video/Pvhj2HoPuPQ/v-deo.html
I usually drink 64 ounces a day approx, one green juice and one root juice. I tend not to drink fruit juices, but eat fruits or vacuum blend them. I appreciate you for using my code so I can continue my work!!!!
@@discountjuicers thank you John!
I cant find the link for the manual pump. Will check you amazon page
www.amazon.com/dp/B09ZHWHJ4B?linkCode=ssc&tag=onamzjohnkohl-20&creativeASIN=B09ZHWHJ4B&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.16D1SVJUJ9UPO&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_d_asin is the pump with lids I recommend.
Hi john,
I have a Nama J2 and I am now wanting to juice wheatgrass and sprouts. Is there an I saw your wheatgrass video for the Nama J2. I am not doing all that. Is there a juicer you can recommend just for wheatgrass that is not that expensive? Maybe you can do an undated Video on the best juicers for people who just want to juice wheatgrass, greens or sprouts?
The easiest juicer for juicing wheatgrass is the healthy juicer, I hope to make a video about it juicing wheatgrass soon. www.healthyjuicer.com/ and apply coupon code DJ5 for a $5 discount.
Thanks John,
I checked it out and love the price point and how small it looks. Can’t wait to see your video on it! I’ll try to wait till your review on it and others that juice wheatgrass and sprouts to buy!
I found out that the healthy juicer uses bpa plastic in there base and handle I’m uncomfortable buying it do you have another recommendation?
Hi John, my question is would the void vacum blend container fit my vitamix 5200 Thanks in advance
YES, the void vitamix kit will work on the Vitamix 5200 which is a legacy model.
Hi John, i got the kit and thanks for the coupon code ❤ i wanted to ask if this Void kit works with frozen fruit like bananas for smoothies and nicecream? My lid only goes up to 16 not 18? I didn't get a manual either! and how do i go about getting warranty ? Thanks in advance
It should help with protecting the holes but still suck the air out
@@allthai100 great idea, I will try that!
Choosing a vacuum blender here in Europe is a nightmare. Little to choose from and no user experiences sadly.
Ok john i got my void lid, hope it lasts.
Does nama ever have annual sales?
Nama has ongoing promotions for 10% off, in this case you can use coupon code DJ10 to save 10% off your purchase. Order at namawell.com/products/nama-j2-cold-press-juicer?ref=discountjuicers Nama does NOT have any other sales, generally other than BLACK FRIDAY weekend, for 3 days they have offered $80 off the J1, J2 or c2 juicers last black Friday. IMO its not worth to wait half the year to save an additional $25, since you could be getting the BENEFITS of juicing today instead of waiting to save an extra $25.
Is there any way I can get my Dynapro vacuum blender like the base the piece that spins around on top without a warranty?
You can buy all the parts for the dynapro at tribest.com/collections/dynapro-parts-accessories
"Boost Nutrition": hahaha, right! I'll tell the world, hahaha 🤣🤣🤣
If the Void System for Vitamix can't be used for juicing it wouldn't be worth it for me to purchase.
The void system for vitamix CAN be used for juicing that being said, its better to have a vacuum blender with a larger carafe for vacuum juicing due to the volumes being processed.
what about the breville vac Q pump??
