This music stirs up something in me I didn't know I had. I've always had a burden for Albania ever since I learned how awful it was there in Hoxha's time, and it was a thrill to go there in 2015 and see a little of the country and its people and wonderful freedom and tolerance.

But we write it with a "ç", hence Çifteli. Albanian ç/Ç is similar pronounced like the [c] in romanian [c]eapă (onion). "c/C" is in albanian a "t+s" sound. Like in greek "[ts]ifteteli".
