When I listen to this and close my eyes I am taken back to the 90s as a kid, feel the warm summer breeze and going to an ice cream parlour with my nan, and hearing this song playing on the radio. Back then kiwi music had something really going!
I love this song! I was in New Zealand as a university student in 1993 when Annie was touring with the Language album, and saw her perform this in Hagley Park at the Christchurch Summer Festival on 30th January that year. Great memories !
the they who made Moana werent polynesian, so they had not clue. but I agree, had Polynesians made that film this is one of many songs that would have been included
@@venussonjiayerkovich4563those who created Moana are Polynesians! There are Samoans, Hawaiians, Tokelau n cook islanders n New Zealand’s that r part of it. Te vaka is a big part of Moana soundtrack. But Moana is not frm New Zealand or a Moari young lady. She frm the island of motunui mix Tonga n Samoa. This is a New Zealand song. Know ur island 😊

Yeah emanea woohooo
Didn't have the words before I met you
Now my heart is filled with all the dreams
I'm learning to trust my feelings
And all my fears I'm letting go
Gods step to heaven high above us
In the night, embrace it, all I see
Come with me now cause your bringing out the magic
Yeah in my soul
It's so beautiful yeah
It's so beautiful
Emanea
Yeah emanea, woo

You know your love is teaching me to speak the language of good
