if you have to sell it for 12k because you are skint, then buy it back for 100k years later, it means you have been doing some graft in the meantime, so best of luck with your new [second time around] toy, you have earned it...
We’ll said Paul 👍🏼
Unless he is selling drugs
Always loved these Sierras, never could afford one and never will but your videos bring some of the joy without actually owning one, cheers Adam
Thanks fella
@@Adam151082 I had an A reg sierra xr4i in the 90s mate . Block yards era 😉 sold it for 700 quid 🤦
I have had 5 including 1 diesel the best of the lot was a 2 litre GLS
Wow 😲 money well spent, yes u could have a lambo, Ferrari ect but I'd rather have the Sierra anyday. Absolutely stunning machine
Definitely Carl. 😊👍🏼
100% mate.
Whatever floats your boat ⛴️
Well I definitley wouldn't it's a Sierra yes they good cars but not for that money in my opinion I don't think they worth over 30k
I love how Paul is keeping the old days alive with his car collection and old BMXs etc. I wish he did more videos on his own channel.
Just Wow, what a perfect example. From a personal point that rear arm / shock mount was made 3 weeks after my 11th birthday. It's fair to say the car has faired better than me over the last 36 and a half years.
Lovely story with the car too, really made up the bloke got his baby back after all these years, worth every penny imo.
As Paul says, 3 doors in white all day, moonstone blue as a 2nd place.
Cheers Adam, as always top notch content.
Thanks Jim
I thought everybody wanted them in black the black 2 door is the rare one then you want moonstone.
@@nopefranks1154 Just personal taste mate, I think they look topper in white.
Moonstone blue is probably Fords nicest colour, maybe the Focus orange (electric orange iirc) later on ?
I could listen to Paul all day long talk about a subject he knows everything about 👍
Could listen to Paul all day 😊
Great video again Adam could listen to Paul all day. His knowledge is unreal and his passion with it is hard to beat absolutely fantastic!!
Thanks fella
@@Adam151082 Much enjoyed video Adam, many thanks best regards Chris.
If I win the lottery I’m having one, along with a whole fleet of old Fords 😍
U have good taste my friend 👍
Amazing! And of course it definitely has to be Paul to bring it back to life!
Another great video Adam , when Paul mentioned the side to side red lights , we used to screw to the dash as a deterrent, that brought back memories lol 😄
It's a real treat to watch your videos Adam, especially the ones with the brain of Cosworths in, cheers Paul.
Beautiful example and worth the money!
@AdamSmithGiveaway.😂🖕🤡
What an absolutely incredible car with an astonishing back story.
Hats off to you and Paul 👍🏻
Great video Adam. I have a similar story with my series 1 rs turbo. It was my dads car. He sold it in the year 2000. He always wished he never. I found it in 2019 and bought it back for a hell of a lot more than dad sold it for. 😮 sadly my dad passed away March 2019 just 6 months before I purchased the car. 😢 I still have it. Always will 👍
A very good Son. Your Dad is proud.
CheeRS 🚗 👍
What a great video, lovely memories for this old RS fan
Looks absolutely immaculate 👌
Stunning motor always love it when these cars are kept standard. 👌
AWESOME 👍👍
You'll have to ask Paul how he got into the Cosworths. Hopefully he'll tell you about his Sapphire he repaired when he was young and his first ever 3 door replica he ever had.
You should do a video solely on his history and how he got into the 3 doors 👍👍
I always wondered after he told me about the above, if those cars are still around.
AGAIN.... GREAT VIDEO 👍👌Can't wait till you post another lol
Absolutely superb video mate. Thanks.
You do amazing videos with Paul. Nice to see your love for fords
Love seeing you two together
My OCD going crazy with hands all over it lol
Hi Adam and Paul, another great video guy's, what a pristine example this one is. Lucky and shrewd buy.. Alex.
Brilliant video again. I love how clean the car is really well looked after spot on mate 👌
Brilliant vid as always with you both featuring, need a first start vid when it's finished
That will certainly be the cleanest one I’ll ever see in my lifetime,Stunning👍😉💪
It was amazing Alan. Paul didn’t tell me how good it was prior to the video
Great video guys, thank you 😎
That's why you should complete the sapphire underneath Adam. Your almost half way. You can then take the bairn out and she can eat ice cream inside the car. Cool video as always with lot's of real Cosworth history! Thumbs up lad!
Adam Paul, this iwas a dream car of mine when I first saw them. I passed my test 1981 so a bit earlier but Had a Mark 1 Fiesta the n a Mark 2 XR2i B84 JWWP second owner off my mates mother, it was a dream Minter.wish I had that now ;That Coswprth is immaculate great to see the guy Chris get it back.
What a fantastic as new 3 door Cosworth. Ford Museum quality. What a great story with the car.
Stunning car, cheers for the video lads 👍🏻
Well done chris 👌🏻 if that’s not a story of success I don’t know what is..
The scorpion Alarm proper retro 👌🏼
Brilliant content with paul as always 🤙
I was wondering when this car would show upon the channel. Saw the car when we bought a factory fresh 1973 UK BSA B50 MX that has never been started from Chris, the car really is mint. Great video as usual, Adam. 👌
Thanks Tom best regards Chris.
All your videos are brilliant keep it up x
Incredible what a stunning Sierra probably cleaner than when it came out the showroom Another massive investment for a lucky guy
Love watching you two guys!
Thanks David
Lovely car that lads, perfect summer toy !!!
Definitely Dean 👌🏼
i have a idea of why
recent 3 door cosworth prices going up, i think the popularity of your channel being a solid service to 3 door cossies and that paul is a sound historian on the model bringing the memories of this once benchmark model, people like me who were youngsters when they were new and winning races can if you got a decent stash of money at the right time can be that kid again and not be the one just staring at it from across the street trying to imagine what it's like to drive one.
Brilliant video and even better car 👍
Great vid love these ones . Amazing car 👍👍👍👍
Absolutely stunning😍💎👊🏽
Love your videos adam I was a mechanic at a north east ford dealership in the 80s and 90s. I knew then and still do now the amount of people who used to disconnect the Speedos, not saying that this isn't a genuine low mileage example but the vast majority are clocked, great video though !!!
Love seeing all these old cars had many of the fords and vauxhalls in the day esp the shove it..The prices these cars are fetching now is unreal.
Saw one parked in Northampton in 1986 was absolutely blown away, Worth Every Penny they aren't making any more 👍
superbness in every aspect
Brilliant lads !!
What a car that is……. Can remember a moonstone blue one local to me many years ago. Adam I know you’ll never sell yours but yours must be in the 40-50k region at least now
Great video again 😉😎
Say it over and over you 2 make my day😉
(I’ve never has a Cosworth) but my first 4x4 was in moonstone blue, just like the one in Paul’s workshop..
Cracking video, Adam
Brilliant as usual what a great investment, 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I enjoy the videos despite not being a massive Ford fan. My era is Fiesta ST150 /Mondeo ST
great video . im spooked as i looked at a white 3 door cosworth in tun wells main dealer , mt epthriam . had a window sticker 15.950 .00 . i just wonder if this car in video is the one i looked at . and all paper work there as well . just dont see this anymore great video again , from u cossie experts
😮 wow just stunning 😮
Beautiful
Thats a beautiful example. 😎
i had a mint condition white 3 door cossie back in 2002 it had 70.000 miles and it was totally standard, even underneath was like this one, it was that mint i didn't even want to drive it so i sold it for 9 grand, it was a garage queen cossie
That is such a clean car! I know it very well, belonged to a local garage owner near me, that I knew personally, sadly passed away! Unfortunately his amazing collection, that he adored, has been getting auctioned off! But it’s really nice to see it’s gone to a great home and to a former owner of the car!
It's not worth anything except £££ to family members who don't share his passion. I think they're doing the best thing by selling his collection to absolute enthusiasts who are willing to pay top £££. I also think it's what he would have wanted, nobody else could look after them like he could unless they were splashing top £££ on them.
Cars should be driven and not locked away for no one to see
Gorgeous car
When I win the lottery, I'm gonna try and buy this car 😍
Beautiful.I have a feeling this car will bump the prices up even more
To the owner that car would’ve been money no object, and I bet he did more than just stare at it, I bet there was a big hug involved 😅
For me it would be my first Mk2 2 door Escort MKP 244P in orange or the first MK2 Cavalier SRI red over anthracite c810gys No wonder the lad wanted it back
A other great video Adam. Some car tho 👌
Oh my word!!! I would love to have that car!! I would live in the garage with it sod the Mrs!!
What a time warp machine that is, stunning example and I suppose still very usable, although maybe not a daily😬 I wonder how many more are left like this one
Class mate.
Timewarp stuff. Wish I still had mine.
Sierra Cosworth, what a super car
What a car, can see why he spent the money on it.
A day cleaning the underside that would be absolutely mint.
My only gripe would be putting a mild steel exhaust on it over the stainless
What a great car
Looks lush.would keep the exhaust as is though.
Fantastic car. That story why he bought it though, makes it even better.
Shows why all these “crazy” people get “auction fever”. Wanted the car back, had the money. What a guy 😎
Crazy the prices unreal car though
wonderful story for chris the owner! so who put on the 21 miles since the 2021 auction
In earnest. I'll soon sell the house to buy one of those. It's so crazy looking.🇸🇪
And a much better investment than the Ferrari it seems!
Aha , I was in that auction too, I didn't over pay for an XL1 that sale which didn't go up, however , this now looks super cheap!!! LOL
Hope ya well Adam 👍
Great thanks Andy. I hope your doing good 👍🏼
Loving fast Ford's brother ❤️
Brilliant
The car went to the rightful owner an definitely will be cared for , but it's good to know he will drive it occasionally, I know a lot of the wealthy Arab's buy these kind of cars for private collections but most then never get driven which is good for preservation but they should be driven because true car fanatics like my self get a really kick seeing nice motors about and they should be admired
EYE from me and an EYE from him
If I owned that it would have to be in my living room
That black 500 only had 5192 miles on the clock so I'm guessing it wasn't a rot box and didn't sit on a driveway.
What the water leak from rusty water trace coming from bottom pulley area and coolant level low??
What about the 8k mile moonstone 3dr sold in November 2022? £132.750
No specialist will allow you to take bumpers off 😂. My local scraper wouldn’t even let you take anything off
Omg that's crazy it's pushing classic car prices out of the reach of the working man
Amazing car would love to have that I would probably sell it and buy a lotus carlton tho 😂
Its strange I've never had a Cosworth (only MK3 Fiesta RST) certainly not fan of modern Ford with their ecoboost engines and powershift gearbox junk, but there is just something about these early Fords. I could watch these videos all day.
Did Chris tell you the full story on this? Was his originally and bought it back just like his Mk1 RS1600, tracked it down to buy it back.. Used to be serviced at main dealer in Farnborough by a mate of ours, probably has his name on the service paperwork. Edit, you mentioned it later.
Put me out of my misery, who are you?
@@itzangelwolfy are you asking as the owner of the car or someone else?
Unbelievably good, but worth double soon.
Probably Carl. Theres not many like this one
👍
The floors the sills the tie down eyelets how does a car escape the idiots in garages who just slap the trolley jack anywhere underneath and crush the undersides???? Amazing.
Omg Adam what a motor u better get cleaning yours 4 more £££££ sighns 😅😅
I remember when you could by a Saphire for £5k!
Yer i just like em
