my first car was a 1960 sunliner - a beautiful white convertible with the 352 4-barrel. I had nice fast commutes to work from shelton to mcleary wa the back way. great cruiser !
Im trying to buy one this exact model from my neighbor right now. Its a complete resto project car but is complete. In the process of negotiations about what its worth.
Absolutely one of the best looking cars ever I have a 59 ranchero I wish that Ford would have done the fins like the 60 kind of like similar to the Chevy 60 movie I will find a forward and cut the wings off it and customize my rancho just for my own personal flare to it great looking car man beautiful hope you pass it down to one of your kids and keep this American tradition alive 🙉🙈🙊💥
I had a 1960 Ford Galaxie convertible that had the 360 hp 352 engine and a B/W T-10 4 speed transmission. While I was serving in Vietnam, my father sold it without my permission. We didn't speak to each other again for 15 years.
I can't find this info, and I have arguements with my Dad on it. Is this car on the 1960 Edsel platform or something else? Yes, there is money on this.
My first car was a 1960 Starliner, 292, 3-speed on the column. I gave $50 for it. Had the engine overhauled by someone who didn't know what he was doing so it never oiled correctly. It could have been a good car to keep if I had enough money then to get it in shape. I would consider buying another one now.
i had a 66 galaxie 500 with automatic transmission and 352 two barrel carb and duel exaust..ran smooth, not fast but it would bark 2nd gear almost everytime if i shifted myself...it had a pos traction rear end but idk what gear ratio it was...should've keep that car...my friends mom wouldnt let him ride with me,she called it the death trap...lol
Beautiful black beauty, I didn't like them at first, I must of being stupid, I now compare it with the 60 Chevy and the Ford takes first prize. It's a beautiful car, the lines from front to back, its amazing its awesome, but I can't say the same for the EDSEL, but I would gladly want it.
I had one of these. My first car, bought it in 63. Had the 352 HI-PO 360 HP, 3 on the tree transmission, also black like this one. Red interior.
It sure was a looker in person.
My first car also. ‘60 Ford custom 292ci. 3 on tree

2 Fords that you never seen much of 65 fairlane and any 60 fords I always thought both were cool
The 65 Ford galaxies were so beautiful, it had a new design, man my mouth waters.
Old cars were an art
60 Fords have always been one of my favorites, kinda remind me of a T bird.
Beautiful car

*Nice rivets? **2:32*
😅
@@michaelrube9881 I use to lay in the grass at night to watch the rivets. Have you ever seen a 'shooting rivet'? They're awesome.
I once watched a movie called"A Rivet is Born",starring several well-known Hollywood Movie Rivets.....
A Beauty...what beautiful lines on these Ford's..GM couldn't touch these great Cars for a Real Classy Style Cruiser

This car looks like the big bad brother of the (U.K.) Ford Consul/Capri from circa 1963.
I heard that they were made for 1 year only.
That model year Ford was 1 year only the Starliner was 60 & 61
