Diyan Learns Walking Water Science Experiment For Kids, STEM Capillary Action, Easy Science Activity

Hello everyone,
Have you ever seen water walking? No, then wonder how trees get water from ground to the trunk, branches, flowers. Let us see how this works.
For the Walking Water Science Experiment for Kids please do the following-
1. Take 3 glasses of water
2. Add Red, Yellow, Blue food coloring in respective glasses and Stir it.
I used McCormick food colorings from Lucky.
3. Add 2 empty glasses. One between red and yellow glass, another between yellow and blue glass.
4. Take 4 paper towels and add between all the glasses. If you use thick layers of towel then water will travel fast.
What will you observe after 2-3 hours:
1. Water travels from glasses and fills the empty glasses.
This happens because water travels up through the CAPILLARY TUBES of the paper towel dipped in glass full of water.
2. When you mix Primary Colors you get the following combinations:
Red + Yellow = Orange
Yellow + Blue = Green
3. Water given to the trees goes in the roots. Travels UP through the branch, reaches the top of the tree and travels back to the leaves, flowers :)
All because of CAPILLARY ACTION. Water works against the gravity and helps the tree and plants bloom :)
