It really softens my heart and makes me so happy to see kids being raised like this- what a privilege and blessing to not only have the opportunity but to take it. You are a great example.
Dad was raised on a homestead, that's where the word chores. Appreciate your hard work and that you're passing that ethic on to those kids. Enjoy seeing how engaged they are with all that's going on. You and they getting better. Thanks for sharing.
I bought 2 Premiere 1 plates this year. The biggest for gosling and next down for chicks. Love them! Total piece of mind and no more concerns about fires. I'm on my 3rd hatch all the chicks thrived. No piling up -0- issues. Highly recommend the investment if you hatch often as we do.
I just got 40 Cornish cross and dipped their beaks, they seem to be thriving. This is the first year we got that many at once. It will be interesting once we put them into their chicken tractors.
I work on a farm, and my eyes started watering when I saw how well these kids love working on this as family bonding time. The skills and patience and knowledge these children are going to grow up with is amazing. You're doing such a great thing. Love from NC.
i just wanted to say i look up to you guys and want to be like you guys when i’m older right now i have a garden but no animals and i thank you guys for uploading everyday pretty much keep up the good work the farm looks great FYI.
Ty for sharing It look like your farm is really buzy this spring with new chicks and pigs and gardening lots do it great kids help so much every thing and tc gb
I suggest you put cabinet handles on the partition wall for easier carrying-- a lot easier to handle and carry. Still like watching chicken videos here, Rhodes family! Have a Blessed 100 days++ of growing and harvesting.
What a beautiful site watching Lily at the very end with the chicks.❤ I saw the strangest video.Guy had a chicken.Drew a line in the dirt.Stuck the chicks beak down my the line. The chickens body went into complete paralysis but his eyes were fixated on the line until they pushed the dirt over the line to get rid of it.God bless and be safe.
What good Dad. I too did this with my two daughters although we lived in the city. My girls learned the realities of life and death. They were never afraid to walk into the run in bare feet. They named many of their girls. Probably the best thing that I ever did as their Dad was having those wonderful hens. Thank you for sharing.
I only eat eggs like 3 or 4 times a year. But i eat chicken at least 2 times a week. I rare eat beef or pork. I don't know why, because i like it all. I just choose chicken meat to eat most. I have been eating Turkey more this year then i have in my life. I eat those Frozen Turkey meals. They are easy to cook. Pretty much just heat up. About the only time i eat beef is when i have Beef stew. Out of a can. I eat hot dogs about once every 2 months. But now that i grow a garden, I am eating more plants as food. The thing i have eaten most of my life is beans. All kinds of beans. I eat beans every week. That may be why i don't feel like i need meat to eat, because i get protein from the beans. And don't have to worry about all the meat fat when eating beans.
Hey, does anyone know how to treat chicken gleet? I’ve tried garlic, apple cider vinegar, and honey (as well as washing the area with hydrogen peroxide and iodine) but they still haven’t been cured.
Such good helpers ❤ we recently got 50 chicks from 2 different hatcheries. Just curious what hatchery you usually order from? Our old girls are 6 now they halted completely for several months but recently started again lol definitely slowing down so it was time for some new 🐣
Why the 3 different species? Just wondering i am in Colorado kinda same whether so want to know good layers and yours are doing amazing i want 50-100 laying birds by fall at the latest hahaha
Greetings from Sweden and Estonia! Love your videos and have since GAFT. I have one question though; Is there a reason why you haven't let some of the hens raise the new generation of egglayers instead of getting a whole new batch of 100 chicks?
Hi justin u shud make longer vids. and i learned from the past a messy farm messy sheds u barley get any work done whereas if ur sheds are clean your yards clean you have more room to do things

Love how you have always let the kids jump in there and do things! That's the best way to learn.
So joyful to see the children interacting with all that needed to be prepared. 😊♥️♥️♥️🌷🌷🌷
It’s so much fun to see the kids interacting with the animals😍.
Thank you Justin Rhodes for sharing your video homestead chicken. You have done a good job 🐔🐓🐥🐈🐕🐖🐄🎥👍👍👍

Out post office will deliver our chicks to us. Lol. They did last week. Loving your chicks!
Love the last couple of videos, way better content then a few weeks ago, maybe because of all the new animals!!
Nice Setup👍

Hey, does anyone know how to treat chicken gleet? I’ve tried garlic, apple cider vinegar, and honey (as well as washing the area with hydrogen peroxide and iodine) but they still haven’t been cured.
Hi can you please make a video of how to make the chickens house the one you keep the chicken ladies in
Finally, your daughter is involved.
I have missed a ton of videos When did Mr. Brown get so big?
Some of the older hens should be pets maybe. Cause their special.
Haha, same :).
My first pullets are now my pets. I understand what Justin Rhodes wants to do, I just don't agree.
Nothing wrong with that. They still lay, they still prep the soil and they still provide manure.
It’s sad, chickens get used and once they are no longer useful, they are thrown away and killed. Humans are disgusting.

Curious what brand heating plate you are using and if you would recomed one

The van is back! May I ask what broke on it...... Im curious:)
How are the pigs ?
Is the van back !
Hi Justin !
Why do you keep calling the chicken sea monsters?! Maybe I missed the video where you explained why ^^
Great video !
Hi justin u shud make longer vids. and i learned from the past a messy farm messy sheds u barley get any work done whereas if ur sheds are clean your yards clean you have more room to do things
do you think you will ever move to the home sted chicken breads?
did ya fry up the elders?🐅🐅🌲🌲🌲🌲
What breed of chicks did you get this time around?
C Monsters or Cornish Cross. They grow at a very fast rate and are harvested quickly for meat.
Give them more corn

Looks like you have your van back. Was it some thing Major?
