I bought an easy cap, and found out that it wasn't so easy.
If you're watching this video, I'm going to assume you already set up your easycap and are using it to use your computer as a screen, but can't record anything.
Sorry I didn't have a mic.
Follow the steps and comment/like/rate/sub if it worked or if it didn't. :D
If you upload through Windows MovieMaker, chose the highest setting and add " yt:crop=16:9 " to your tags to get rid of most of the black bars (without quotation marks)

FAAAKING SHITT!!!!! spent 4 hours trying to get video and it was just 1 click in a box away!!! hahaha......just like back in the days with ms dos and autoexecbat....THANX MAN!!! thumbs up ;)

Mine works but my question is the preview window supposed to be black the whole time and with no sound?? I’m capturing VHS’ and I literally have to hook the VCR to a separate VCR I have to stream it through my TV so I can at least see what I’m recording. This is becoming a bit frustrating. I get recorded video with sound but it would be nice if I could see and/or hear what I’m recording through the program.
In my version of Video Studio 11 there is no option ALLOW ACCESS TO CAPTURE DEVICES SETTINGS ...... :(
Hi, I'm facing a problem. After performing all these steps of yours in the video, I still get error 'Unexpected error' (5 times). Also am not getting any option to change Audio. Please help me!
hi i'm having a problem with this easycap, i've got all the software and leads, however when i start it up to capture my vhs videos it doesn't work but when it comes to capturing webcam it works perfectly, obviously didn't buy it to do webcam captures can you help please ??? thank you in advance

I read it ;).... one problem though.... I'm not getting sound and there isn't a USB audio option.... I'm using an easy cap and all wires are placed correctly but only have 'internal' or 'external' mic options... any help?

So I have a similar problem buts it with my older console games like Snes and N64 whenever I play some of my SNES games I can hear the sound but I cantsee anything at all? Help plox
Turn your TV to "PAL" and that should fix your problems
I just used Virtual Dub to capture from my easy cap device. Corel Video Studio just did not work with it. It will work with WDM capturing softwares.
Hello. I used virtual dub also but the audio quality was not good. Is there any way to have it sound like the original input? I'm sure there's a setting.
anybody can you please help me as soon as possible, every time i click the capture button, it records for a few seconds and then this note pops up saying there is no device selected and even doing what it said in the tutorial it keeps on doing that and it says no input was selected please stop the capture. Please oh please can someone help me. I really need help right now.

Btw that wasn't the capture graph error u got it was the bit rate for mpeg dummy... Try fixing the real cap graph problem...
