Hola Esteban, I use Sato’s Zen Calligraphy book a lot for Zen sayings which I use on my kakejiku. Another book of Stephen Addiss (in addition to 77 Dances mentioned in the commentaries) is The Art of Zen. The Art of Japanese Calligraphy Yujiro Nakata is a fantastic book on the different styles and history with many examples. What I am looking for and thought you might know is a book on Tensho (small script, not to carve seals just to write) which is written in english. I’ve seen some on AliExpress but in Chinese. I’m not sure if there is a stroke order to Tensho and thought a book would help with that and proper brush strokes. Thanks for your help! Judith
Might I suggest "Moon by the Window". A collection of beautiful zen pieces by Shodo Harada with accompanying commentary and translation. I find it to be great as reference material. ps. love your work
