MGK means sooooo much to me. In 2016, I fell in love so fucking hard with a boy. We were together for awhile and then I moved in with him. I remember coming back from living with him to live at home (due to stress of the relationship) and the first song I remember my mom listening to was "Bad Things". The lyrics that always stuck with me are "Scars on my body I can look at you whenever" Him and I were playing by the fireplace, house sitting, and I ended up getting a huge burn on my the front of my leg. About a week later I got one on the back of the same leg from a fireplace with him on accident. I still have these scars with me today. Fast forward, him and I got back together and I moved in with him again. Six months later, my mental health began to plummet again from stress and I could no longer live with him. I went back home and right before moving home MGK's song "Home" came out. "Home a place where I can go, to take this off my shoulders" and "how did all my dreams turn to nightmares? How did I lose it when I was right there? Now I'm so far that it feels like it's all gone to pieces, tell me why the world never fights fair" are the lyrics that stuck out to me the most for it fit my current situation I was in so perfectly. Now it's 2018 and instead of staying with me, my boyfriend moved out of his house and left me. No goodbyes, no letters, no anything. I cried for days and days in bed at home. AND THEN MGK comes out with "The Break Up" music video and i'm like RVBYFWHDANERHBFDNWDWNJ YESSSS !!!!!! Now i'm sitting here watching this looking at the never ending possibilities of life and everything I can still do, even without him having a part. Keep with it Kells, your music changed my life and means so much to my heart
I felt this so much because I feel like his music has literally been a soundtrack to my life since I found him in high school! The music he makes relates so well it's almost scary and I love it! EST fam for life man!
