There's something about it that's a bit similar to contemporary Indian dance music too... à la Daler Mehndi. With that said, I am no expert in Arab music. I have a bit more exposure to Indian music having lived there for 6 years as a child. :) Most of what I know of Arab music comes from the tunes played at tourist traps in places like Egypt and Morocco, so my associations may be a bit off. It's just that the rhythms of this song (at least in parts) are not typically Western/European.

Sure it was written for GTA, but I’m fairly certain the song is about the perspective of an illegal immigrant trying to come to America, hence the alien, and since their immigration is illegal, that makes them a crime lord.

This song goes perfect with my GTA online character, they're canonically (in my own personal lore) an eldritch being stranded on earth and hating it, but deciding making the most of it while he's here (specifically Los Santos) and just doing whatever he wants in having fun.
