My ex-wife is from Lubbock and I can tell you, I've driven fast all my life. It isn't something that scares me one bit. BUT, that being said, driving on those roads in the panhandle is TERRIFYING. The speed limit is 90mph (144km/hr). Understand, at this speed, you are traveling 132ft/sec (over 40 m/s). It is SO FAST that being on the inside lane and going past oncoming traffic of those 4 lane, undelineated (no barrier) highways was like a vacuum pulling my truck over the center line. Add to that the propensity for Texas drivers to exceed the limit by 10% and you have a recipe for utter devastation. I am not surprised that that truck and bus head on collided, I'm just surprised the band members survived.

@@JustWezz it's worse. I was driving at 95mph and i had people riding my butt and flipping me off for going too slow. Mind you, it was dark and raining at the time. I kissed the ground when i got to my destination.
Could tell Office Bloke Dave was getting into this song with the look on his face on the build up to the first breakdown haha, such a good song, and a powerful story to go with it. Definitely one of my favourite hardcore bands

they actually wrote this song before the accident. They knew they needed to come back with this song. its so crazy to see this happen and them fight through it and being stronger. so happy for them. they are doing concerts this year!!!
sort of - they had a drum track and the name of the drum track was saved as "Aftermath". They didn't have anything else written, lyrics, guitar, bass, whatever
The band you mentioned at the beginning was called Viola Beach. They were just starting to make it big with one or two top 40 hits

I don't know if this has already been told but after the crash all the bandmembers had too learn how too play their instruments again and the device you saw with the drummer his dad actually built that so his son could still play the drums.
As a drummer myself i really cried because i can't imagine too lose a leg and the song really touched me.
Thats so sweet of his dad and amazing for him that he can still do his drumming with all the passion he has
Same here dude especially since I use heel toe for some of my insanely fast shit (240bpm+) losing a leg would make it impossible for me to do
def Leppard drummer lost his arm when he crashed his Corvette.
Back in the mid 80s, the original bass guitarist for Metallica, Cliff Burton, was killed when their tour bus flipped over and he was pinned underneath. It was especially sad because the raw talent he had was unsurpassed at the time. Metallica even made a song about the incident and him.

I can't get into bands like this where they just scream every lyric. I can enjoy a good scream but not when it's the main focus of the song.
