If I had the scratch I would almost get one. But I think I'm gonna pay a bit more and get a d2 knife I actually want like the mini praxis or the mini ganzo fh41s, or even the olitans g040. Why doesn't somone get em a winning power ball so I can get 1 each. (Of everything ever made)
I certainly don't advise spending 25 bucks to get one knife out of this set. Since I wanted to get some videos made with it to entertain you guys I needed to do it for you.
Man you got me watching this video before I go to work hahaha. Glad you found it man. That would’ve been my only reason to get it as well, I was looking at them closely at the store and took one look at that plastic and second guessed my decision to buy it. I was checking online for some stuff and noticed that the D2 knife is back in stock online.
OMG, you did a review on the knife set I asked about. Thank you so much. I saw the set and was interested in three knives. The utility knife for the toolbox. The blue handled knife with a glass breaker for the car. And the slide lock for EDC.
I would never trust that glass breaker to actually break glass. I've seen too many cheap ones not only fail but significantly deform from trying. If you feel you may need to break yourself out of your window for some reason don't take chances. Just get a dedicated glass breaking safety hammer.
I haven't found the Civivi in any of the stores I hit yet. I want one, but I've got plenty of content to make with what I already got here and I'm not in the mood to run the Walmart gauntlet for the 4th time at the moment.
Dropouts are back in stock online again, I reluctantly ordered more (my first had omega spring break immediately). First one I opened was off centered and not smooth. 2nd was GREAT! Same with Stormtrooper. I got 2 and the first was ok, but second had fantastic action! QC definitely not great but when you do get a good one it makes me feel embarrassed for the other 30-40 $20-80 knives I own. Makes me feel like either need to have a super premium nice knife or cheap beaters to get true value, no in-between. These Knives have destroyed my knife collecting/enthusiast brain
Yeah theres a long history of Benchmade axis lock omega spring failures. Going back years before they expired the patent. Thats why there are (and have been) dozens of sellers for the springs on Amazon. At $200+, its a serious design flaw. At $5 it's still a serious flaw but no biggie.
I bought the set. I brought it home. I looked at all the knives I went and returned it and bought the Kershaw’s instead. I just wanted to see how the access lock worked on that.
Now that I've managed to back the pivot off a little it's doing well as a fidget toy. You will indeed be treated to the results of a week of carry and a Cardboard Slayer™ on it.
Once you get below 10 bucks 3cr becomes adequate. If I was just EDCing it and not running it through the Cardboard Slayer™ gauntlet I'd rarely need to sharpen it as light of a user as I am.
@@knivesiguess I love the way the knife market in Walmart is heading though, there are a lot of big steps forward. Can’t wait to see your videos on all of these new knives, I’m always so hype when I see a new video from you.
I appreciate the kind words! Unless I can think of something to do with them, the other 6 knives in the set won't be seen again. I REALLY wish they woulda been tip up
Tip down means I have to flip it around when I pull it out of my pocket or put it back. It's ridiculously annoying. I've only ever had one partially open and that was 100% my fault. In your pocket where you'd normally carry it if it partially opens you still have the hem of your pocket covering the tip of the blade.
Was at the local walmart today, and they had about 8 of the orange D2 ozark trails. I already have mine, so I left it for the next guy.
WOW. You had quite the rarified day today
I have one also but I use it everyday for work and just ordered 2 online. Incase it gets damaged I will have extra 😀

You my good sir, are a gentleman ✌️😎
If you get 7 knives for $25 and 6 are garbage thats a horrible deal.
Nope, that knife is $25
Tomato potato

I bet they aren't in stock within a day or two though.

@knivesiguess thank you that is good information. Advice like that is exactly why I was hoping you'd review the set. Thank you again
You're quite welcome!
For $25, I got the new Civivi knife. It's not an axis style lock, but it blows away every other $25 boxed set walmart has, right now.
I haven't found the Civivi in any of the stores I hit yet. I want one, but I've got plenty of content to make with what I already got here and I'm not in the mood to run the Walmart gauntlet for the 4th time at the moment.
oh. i didnt expect 1/7 to be tip up when the rest are all tip down!
The axis lock HAD to be tip up by default. I kinda expected 6 to be tip down but I was hoping for better.

To quote myself: It's one HELL of a time to be a knife guy

Are you sure the breakdown isn't $20 for that knife, and $1 for the other 6? 😂
$25 for the utility knife, the rest were free
Yup. Almost all Chinese knives are 3cr13, which really isn't that bad. It just needs to be sharpened more often than better steels.
Once you get below 10 bucks 3cr becomes adequate. If I was just EDCing it and not running it through the Cardboard Slayer™ gauntlet I'd rarely need to sharpen it as light of a user as I am.
Blades interchangeable?
They might be on the liner locks. Doubt they'd swap with the axis lock.
thanks for wasting your money on that hot garbage, now I dont have to!
You're quite welcome!
All those reservoirs tips cost money
That might be the true value in the set. That and the friends we made along the way.
I like your video bro but you gotta let the tip down thing go. Thats the way most knives are made.
I can't stand carrying tip down.
May your days be filled with downtips👍
This disgusts me
@@knivesiguess😂
If they sold the good one by itself I would buy it. It being 25$ tho stuck with these? I’d rather buy 5 of the stormpooper… oh wait I did…
Right? I certainly don't advise buying that whole set unless you gotta do videos on it.

For 3.50 I suppose you're lucky it wasn't hot glued.
Right? I tweaked the pivot so now it functions like it's supposed to. I'm actually a little impressed so far.
Why do you hate tip down? It's safer then tip up. Tip up if the knife opens in your pocket your getting stabbed. Tip down you won't get stabbed.

6x knife sinner... hahaha
IT WAS THEM. THEY SINNED, NOT ME
Tf does tip down mean
When it's clipped onto whatever you use to carry it using the supplied pocket clip the tip points down
First got it
NIIIIICE! Way to achieve!!
@@knivesiguess you know I had to. Lol
