What varieties are you excited to grow this year?
I would love to see more garden videos! My garden seems to get bigger every year and I would love to see how other people plan theirs as I feel like there have to be better systems than mine :P
I would love to do more garden videos! Thanks for the support!
Yes please show us how you're planning your garden!
I just found your channel recently and am excited to see a Wisconsin gardener on here. I would love to see your garden plan! One of my favorite things to see
MI Gardner is great! Such wonderful seeds and a great family. That red carrot is so delicious. Grew them in 2023 and LOVED them. You’ve picked some great varieties
Love MI Gardner. I did winter sowing and had 100 % germination rate with their seeds.
I’m in Canada and I love MIGARDENER SEEDS!
I believe one of the reasons why MIGARDENER can offer seeds at a lower price is because they don’t have fancy catalogs that other companies do. Those beautiful catalogs are very expensive and really aren’t required
Nice, I am excited to see ur beds fill up this spring 🌱
Sprinkle gypsum over your compact soil and water it in.. it works amazingly! I used this method this year because my plants were already in and stunted and they started to grow and produce and thrive after I helped the soil out.
I grew two Moon and Stars plants in 2022. First melon was 40 lbs! We got about 400 lbs from those two plants, although we are in the Houston, TX area so we have time for continuous harvests for a few months. Also, only had stars and no moons (Siskyou was the seed company). Delicious flavor, but high caliber spitting seeds. Good luck!
Yes❣ I am very interested in how you refine your garden. I had a lot of flops last year and am trying to learn more and doing more raised beds too - mine were in the greenhouse last year... learning..
I like your videos. Good job. Watch the wood chips over weed barrier, it makes the barrier much less effective. As a trial leave a small area around one bed withouthout the wood chips and you will see how much better it does.
Thanks for the MIGARDENER tip. I have never heard of them before. I am enjoying the channel and will probably order seeds from them as well !
Would love a video about planning a garden. We are planning to do raised beds this year and it will be our 2nd time, 3 years apart. Our first time did horribly, and I gave up. I also had little knowledge. So I'm trying to learn as much as possible.
I LOVE MI Gardener. I’ve been ordering from them for four years. I’ve learned so much from Luke . I started growing big when we moved here to North Idaho and built a greenhouse. Just finished watching Luke talking about seeds to cold stratify; and realized I have 3 varieties of seeds I need to do that to.
Yes more gardening videos, esp Herbs, medicinal
Once you grow ground cherries and tomatillo they volunteer like crazy!!!!
Ack. So jealous. I haven't gotten a single successful tomatillo in 2 years. Maybe 2024 will be better
“Homemade pickles” is my favorite pickling cucumber - reliable and prolific! I also enjoy the silver sliver - it’s a pretty white cucumber. Even though it isn’t necessarily meant for pickling, I’ve pickled it and it works perfectly.
Thanks for these recommendations! I'm going to add these to our list this year. :)
@@OakAbode you’re welcome! When I read your reply I realized I had a typo in my original comment - it’s actually the silver slicer not the silver sliver 😆
I grew Homemade Pickles from MIGardener last year and they’re amazing both fresh and pickled! Suuuuuuper prolific and I had cukes from the start of the season through the first couple of frosts!
yes would love to see your planning
Thanks so much ...love seed variety info🎉
FYI rogosa squash has the best flavor and texture and can't go wrong with crimson sweet watermelon
I always grow one thing I have never grown before....not sure what that will be this year....I fly by the seat of my pants. But, this year I am really focusing on growing A LOT of things that I can harvest for my layer flock in the winter
Yes, I'm in WI too and just bought 12 raised beds for our new property.
Im trying to find some tomatoes that like our weather here. Looking forward to trying some more i am not prepared but I hope to have a few more raised beds then last year. They are all built now just need to place and fill them
I love the seed videos.
I purchased from Migardener based on your other video. I also agree that a lot of seeds are overpriced. The only problem with the inexpensive seeds is that I am like a kid in a candy store. I didn't realize I had ordered 12 different types of tomatoes 😆 I guess I'll have a lot of different styles of sauce
Thanks!
Thank you!!
I had such a ridiculously productive ghost pepper plant last year, that I'm gung-ho about peppers this year. Trying to overwinter the monster from last year. I made so much hot sauce, cherry smoked and dried some, you name it. I love spicy food (It doesn't love me anymore), but those dried ghost peppers would knock you flat on your butt. I've got a ton of seeds for super hots.
Hi! I am 10 yrs old and have been studying chickens for a year. You're my favorite channel! I am buying my own chickens this spring but I am still afraid of messing up. Do you have any advice? Which video of yours would be the best for knowing what to expect as a beginner? thanks😄
Oh. I also want to hear about your drip irrigation system and why or benefits of woodchips. Learning..
MI Gardener is the best.
i've heard that a dutch king was so obsessed with the orange color that he asked his servants to make an orange carrot. and that's why we have orange carrots nowdays - cause his "scientists" bred an orange variety :)
Armenian Yard long Cucumbers. They are a melon that tastes like a cucumber, so squash bugs tend to leave them alone.
Omgosh we ordered almost the same seeds!
I use a lot of the same companies! My collection is a mess at the moment with seed starting for cold weather stuff we’ll underway. It’s a bit chaotic lol
Gonna try to grow koosa squash this year... I made a batch (stuffed) with my homemade tomato sauce and froze - and it is a great cold weather comfort meal...
Check out True Leaf! MIGardener is my fav True Leaf Second and then Baker Creek.
I have the best success with Sumter pickling cucumbers here in Michigan zone 6A. I've tried Boston and Nationals but they seem to turn yellow and bitter way earlier than the Sumter.
Space master 80 for pickling, fresh eating. And painted serpent for fresh wating
Watch Charles dodging no dig grading . I have been doing it for two years now and I love it easy to manage works great
In the Florida panhandle. For me onions and carrots were the easiest. You may want to try Brussels sprouts. Fun to grow and probably will do better where you are.
brucemullis479:: What part of the FL Panhandle? I am North of Pensacola about three miles from the Alabama line as the crow flies. If the crow has to drive, about five miles.
I'll be interested in seeing how your onions do. I had failures from seed for 2 years then used sets last year and got good results. I'm not inclined to go back to onion seeds.
What month did you start them in? You can start as early as now for indoor seed starting onions.
What zone are you in?
I noticed u got mi gardener seed .do u no there mailing address,
What zone are you in?
