  • I love my Dyna, but its lacking luggage-carrying capability, so I thought I should fabricate a luggage rack for an upcoming camping trip.
In this timelapse build video, you can see the steps I used to design and fabricate the support brackets, then use round steel bar to bend up and weld the rack itself.
Want more detail? There's an expanded 30 minute version of this build on my training website, where you can hear me explain the build steps and process in lots of detail. Check it out here:

Best vid i've found so far. I don't have a welder and am not skilled on one. Was looking for a way of making one with flat steel that I can just bend, similar to the OEM stuff that Suzuki does. The part on making the brackets was super helpful. So i think I can do that and then get some flat steel to bend and use two bolts each side to secure to the brackets.

Did you make that pipe bending table yourself? I've been looking for a solution to making tight 90's in 1/2 EMT for a project and that is the best looking option yet (outdoors with a fan, don't want to be heating up zinc indoors obviously)

Hey mate, it’s a “Strong Hand Tools” “FixturePoint” welding table. 900x600. A bigger one would be helpful but I got this second hand for a 👌 price
