I've watched half a dozen review vids in the last 12 hours, and this was by far the most in depth and effective demo of the hardtune and transducer elements. Great work.
I heard and got to jam with a very talented local looper named Josh Folmsbee. He was masterful with this TCH unit and it was quite amazing- loops, harmony and effects!
Thank you, nice review! You mentioned some other units that were more geared for "fun", and not the serious musician like this one. Which other ones were you talking about?
Oh if you're just having fun then don't buy a unit with this kind of power. Buy a cheap guitar multi-effects unit, it'll give you everything you need if you're just after some enjoyable effects. Anyway, that's up to you - the only other thing you'll need is an amp, or perhaps a good-sized Bluetooth speaker, or a HiFi with an Aux-In socket.
@@mwells1013 Gosh, where to start! I'd go to ebay and search "Guitar multi effects". There are heaps to choose from, but set your budget to about $75 and you should find some nice options. I find the KORG brand units are excellent in that price range. ZOOM is another leader, but even cheapies like NUX and MOOER have plenty of goodness. Just about all of them have been reviewed on Gearfacts, so if you see one that's interesting just search its name followed by "Gearfacts" and hopefully a review will pop up. Guitar and voice effects are essentially very similar, and if just just good old fun you're looking for then there's no need to spend much at all :) Feel free to reply if you have more questions!
All of these demos and tours never start at the beginning as in how do plug the bloody thing in. There are different plugs in the back and not everyone understands the "LEFT" "RIGHT" INPUT I have tried but no sound comes out so how about start at the start.
colin jones Hi Colin, at about 7:45 minutes I have a look at the back and all the sockets. There’s an XLR socket (3 hole) at the back right as you are looking directly at the back panel. That’s your only mic input option. I was getting my sound out from the headphone socket to record this demo, but you can use the two other XLR sockets (3 pins this time, not holes) to plug into a more advanced sound system like a big PA or mixing desk. Let me know if that fixes the problem, if not we can do some trouble shooting :)
What headphones? U just plug it in and then u can be heard out loud or u can only hear thru the headphones. I’m so confused I was told if I get their tc helicon mic and voiceliveplay2 that I would be good to go . But I’m on the same stage as this guy . I plug in my mic and power cord and nothing happens . And wat is a pa? And what’s a good one to get

@@gearfacts Thank you! My problem with vocoders is how they’re often meant to make vox sound a certain way, like imitating a synthesizer. I guess what I’m in the market for is controllable hardware autotune.

Hi! Does voice live play offer the capabilities of the tc helicon Voice tone correct xt? I intended to buy a voice tone correct xt, but the other capabilities of the voicelive play are tempting.
I have a few questions if you don't mind. I'm looking to get something like this or a line of Voicetone pedals. Does this have as much control as the individual pedals seem to have? Can you apply multiple effects at once? Like hardtune, reverb, and distortion all at once?
@@c0pyimitati0n Well I used this when I did a kids show with puppets etc so the weirder the better.
