f it were up to me, you'd get an Olympic gold medal for performing this piece by Scarlatti. Thank you for the smooth and impressive performance, as well as for the subtle humor that shines through in your introduction.
Bravissima! Meravigliosissima! It is so wonderful to hear you play this grand piece on the clavicembalo. I love Igor P's piano version. But am thrilled even more to hear yours on the original instrument. On the piano you can get glistening legato effects as if Scarlatti were iceskating on a rink coated with olive oil. But that's not as authentic as your version. May this remain on youtube forever.
Awesome video :) I just passed my piano exam. I played Scarlatti K. 1 d-minor. In august i will have harpsichord classes instead of piano so maybe i can learn this stunning piece :)
I love the physicality of some of Scarlatti's music - such fun to play! Do you play Kp. 120 at all? It's one of my favourites for this, hand crossings galore, especially when both hands cross at the same time (and quite unnecessarily I might add!) Scarlatti is having a joke with us I feel perhaps, he must have enjoyed the spectacle and the perplexed looks of his audience - quite a showman by all accounts. I enjoyed the 'outtake' too - if we're honest this happens to all of us sometimes. As always, Lucille, thanks for sharing. Great fun.
A truly marvellous performance! I keep coming back to this video because I love it so much. I notice that you tend to play with flat fingers. Is that deliberate?

Hadn’t met a piano like that before.

Excellent interpretation and at a tempo that seems correct to me. But why do you play B-flat in measure 62 and 64? Best regards!
Shouldn't be so scared of jumping as to actually slow down the tempo when it's time to jump… Just… JUMP! (and good luck):)))
