Would I trade for Brandon Aiyuk ? Absolutely not ! Wide receivers are dependent on the QB and overall scheme , last year Eric Bieniemy's scheme was a dumpster fire that didn't help QB Sam Howell at all .. Our receivers should be more than adequate with a much better quarterback and offensive scheme !
We really need to discuss this after training camp with pads to determine if we need a starting Left tackle. Dyami Brown needs a fresh start. Whether that involves a trade for a starting LT or a replacement receiver or a starting DE doesn't matter.
Either position with Brown could be done with a 3rd and 4th offer and then lock it down with a 2nd and a 4.
All 3 positions can be locked down with an extension between 18 to 25 mill per year on a 3 yr deal.
Another factor you must understand is that the Niners are Super Bowl Contenders with Aiyuk. Their chances of returning degrade without him.
The last fact is that Peters is in rebuild mode. He knows it takes more than 1 year to rebuild. He will not trade the farm for 1 player. Neither would I.
I wouldn't go for him. If ur gonna use draft assets, use it for a Tackle or a CB..

Aiyuk doesn’t blend well with our WR core. I would say we currently have a better Aiyuk type receiver (Terry) that hasn’t had good QB play his whole career. We don’t need 2 WRs with identical skill sets and large salary cap hits. Plus Aiyuk seems like a mouthpiece. If Adam Peters (former SF assistant GM) wanted this move to happen it would already be done, which is a giveaway that Aiyuk is over asking for $$$ and franchise value. If anybody, Peters knows Aiyuk’s true NFL monetary value and won’t budge unless the price is right.

I do not want ANY distractions on this new roster. Aiyuk has no problem being that team distraction as long as it serves HIM. I just don't think it's a good look. Our team doesn't need him THAT bad. Adam Peters also knows the guys in their organization. He won’t get fleeced. He knows their bargaining tactics and prob knows how serious they are about wanting to trade. Peters prob had these conversations about him in their organization even before he came to Washington
I'm not trading him if I'm aiyuk I'm asking for a decent guarantee amount to board me over for the next 3 seasons even if it's a bit of a pay cut just to stay with a team who's in good position to win a bowl he's not our lead receiver but he does accommodate our receiver core very well.
