Had one as my daily driver for 3.5 years and around 60,000 KMs. Loved it very much, it was quick, pretty comfy, fun to drive, cheap to maintain and very reliable for an old car. Got a 208 GTI instead, the 208 is a better daily and all-arounder but the 206 is so much more dynamic and fun to drive! Great chassis and steering feedback. Miss it!
@@testdrivehero I'm sure she does! As you probably know TU5 is a fairly reliable engine. Bet she was still fun to drive after 21 years... I really appreciate your review.
@@testdrivehero Nice. This engine is indestructible, very reliable. Still in use in Brazil. But the Clio… maybe if it had the 1.6 16v engine as well, and better custom suspension, I think you’d pick it instead. I love its quirky looks, I wish the RS versions were available in South America too.
@@testdrivehero yes thank you, the ratio is the same or even a little shorter, it's a shame this engine could handle a slightly longer ratio in 5th gear.
Hi, can you tell me about the tyres (195/55 r15) - does the ride feel stiff with them, are they comfortable to drive if the road condition isn't ideal? I recently bought 206 xs with very small tyres installed, and now choosing between 195/55 r15 and 185/65 r14 (same overall diameter)
I think that unit has lost several horse power or it has an issue because it's so slow. Mine is the same model (2003 Phase 2) and revs faster. The 80-120 is paster in 3rd gear. Don't forget it's a NA and 16 valves.
@@TurboYonki I think the opposite, the engine is very healthy and runs so good. Elasticity test it has to be like I did, checking how reacts on low rev and recovery to do the 80-120kmh. I know of course in 3rd is faster but that's not the test haha
WOW!Automatic hazard lights after emergency brake in that year and that segment!Thats too artsy.I really love this car.
Me too!😍
Good balance between chassis and engine, I like it!
Absolutely, this car is well balanced with that engine!

Is super fun daily car for a budget!
Agree with you
What a good combination, it has to be super funny to drive!
Absolutely, it make you smile driving on backroads!
Love the start to your videos. Also noticed this is on uk plates.
Hahaha thank you so much!
Thanks for reviewing! That 206 looks a bit roughed up for 111k km's.
Hahaha you're right but the mileage is real I swear!😂
The engine works and runs very strong and healthy!

@@kueyz5 TU5 engines are so good👌🏻
Thank you!
Cuando Peugeot hacía buenos motores...
Eso es...😅
Funny to drive this little car
It really is!
You drove a Clio 2 a year ago (just watched) and now this 206. Which one do you prefer?
This 206, super funny and effective.
Also the engine loves to high revving and the car is quick!

@@MrAndreCoutinho I tested the Clio II Phase I with the 1.6 16v engine and was wonderful!
But still I prefer the 206 chassis setup, super funny!
Which one do you prefer? I haven't driven a 1.6 clio yet.
What car is it? I cannot see you blurred the logo
@jeppepedersen7006 🤦🏻♂️😂😂
1:00 i hear some ratteling is it normal for this car or is there problem with clutch or flyeheel? Thanks for answer
@@adamstruhacka5146 Well, low mileage but still 21 year old clutch I guess😅
@@testdrivehero thanks
Estaria bueno un video de un golf mk7 1.4tsi manual como tiene que ser
Tiempo al tiempo!
Is it possible that the gearbox has a shorter ratio than on the 1.4i model. I have a 1.4i and at 2,750 rpm the car goes 100 km/h
You can compare with the 206 1.4i I tested before this one on my channel :)
@@testdrivehero yes thank you, the ratio is the same or even a little shorter, it's a shame this engine could handle a slightly longer ratio in 5th gear.
The steering wheel seems heavy. Is there a problem with the car?
Note: You downshift too much in corners
Yes, it was overheated after dynamic I guess (It shouldn't)
The perspective on video is less hard cornering at 80-90kmh than it really is, I'm afraid😅
@@testdrivehero okey my friend thank you and good luck

Please Peugeot 206/ 207 rc maybe 406 3.0 V6 🥹
I wish!👌🏻😂
@@testdrivehero Yeah 😅
No, I'd rather see a 206 1.0 or 1.1 🤓
