3. Head to Philae Temple and see three beautiful temples on an island in the middle of the Nile River.

6. Visit to Valley of the Kings and see Tutankhamun’s tombs and the incredible hieroglyphics inside Ramesses VI tomb.

Great vid, I am about to book with Intrepid. How different is the 12 trip vs. the 8 day? comfort vs. basic level. I feel 8 days may be too short.....what are your thoughts as a guide?
Hi Ryan, I didn’t travel with Intrepid but with Topdeck. I think it was for about 11 days which was an an excellent amount of time, any less wouldn’t have been enough.

That's plenty of time. Most people just visit for the day. It's a large complex so you can by all means spend a lot of time there :)

I'm Egyptian and as I'm proud to be .. but yes it's true that sellers do sell everything triple the price for foreigners ... which makes me so sad and the thing is the goverment knows but you can not do anything about it.. but my tip is ask the tour guide to buy you tickets for example the cairo tower .. it's only 10 Egyptian pounds but they charge foreigners for 10 dollars which is 170 pounds more .. it's insane and they're literally the same ticket!!

Hi, I am planning to go to Egypt in December, planning to go to Cairo, and Luxor. Can you please mention must to see places in these cities or if we are missing anything else important? If you have anything that we should avoid doing to be safe, please mention that too.

In Cairo, make sure you go to the Egyptian museum, Pyramids of Giza, Khan el khaili, Coptic Cairo, Mosque of Muhammad Ali and Saqqara Pyramid.
In Luxor, do a hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings at sunrise, then go and visit Valley of the Kings and go inside tombs. Visit Karnak temple and Luxor Temple too!

I had been in egypt last year.. it was an amazing trip, except for the dirty public toilets & mosque toilets.. i went to cairo & alexandria.. lots of historical places u van visit there.. hope to visit egypt again in the future

but the pyramids are in Giza County not in Cairo County .

I am an egyptian I recommend you to go to Egypt again and go also to kalabsha and Idfoo temples
I say about Egypt that sometimes it is safe and another times it is not safe but the temples and the tombs and Egyptian museum are very safe so don’t worry

and if you're coming with women please make them wear t.shirts and jeans because I'm an Egyptian girl and physical harassments are so common ... also try to book with a well known traveling company .. and be cautious they charge foreigners for triple the prices of anything in these areas like the pyramids and tge surrounding gift shops ... make your tour guide buy you the tickets if you can instead of paying triple or even more than the original price.

great video but i would advise travelers to egypt or any ancient ruins to refrain from touching or rubbing your hands across the stone as it essentially wears away the inscriptions, thus erasing history. these artifacts are thousands of years old and must be preserved for future generations to enjoy despite the onslaught of tourists every year.We who travel great distances to experience the historic importance of ancient egyptian culture, also play a role in its preservation, please do your part.

Yes, you CAN visit all those places without a guide, BUTut without one, you're missing out on a lot of information. It's not the same without a guide. For food, you have to try Koshari, Falafel (Tameya), Ful Mudamas, Fiteer Baladi and Molokhia.
