This is what playing l4d campaigns in l4d2 feels like. I hope somepne out there makes a mod where if ur playing l4d campaigns, it has the l4d hud, remove new l4d2 special infected, remove new l4d2 weapons etc.
they have L4D1 modes built in with the L4D1 mutations. Playing l4d1 maps with it feels like the original. As for the hud, animations and whatever else, that still has yet to come in the way you said.

You realize you can recreate this with both left 4 dead 1 mods and l4d1 mutation?
I love how all the infected at the end disintegrated into a brief cloud of blood.
