For me didn't work, it's throwing this error (my folder's name is jdk-21-oracle-x64):
sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/java java /usr/lib/jvm/jdk-21-oracle-x64/bin/java 1
update-alternatives: warning: forcing reinstallation of alternative /usr/lib/jvm/jdk-21-oracle-x64/bin/java because link group java is broken

it's a warning, not an error. if you don't have any other java versions installed (like openjdk) than it's ok. you can execute the command once again after the warning and you will no longer get any warnings or errors, just like in the video. it works for me (and i also got the same warning like you).

default .jdk is not working so i use just the .jdk and it install the latest java available
sudo apt install .jdk

Sir, I am installing JDK-22 on Ubuntu 22.0.4 version and after executing the 1st command i.e sudo update -alternative --install..... So i am getting an warning message called : forcing reinstallation of alternative/use/lib/jvm/jdk-22-oracle-x64/bin/java because link group java is broken. 👈🏻 That's the error
