Yeah, this song captures what it's like to Awaken. You just had the worst day of your life, you now realize you have literal magic powers. And yeah, it all feels like a dream. Because it basically is, you're now lucid dreaming and reality itself is the dream.
I love the thrumming that starts at 1:37. It’s reminiscent of a heartbeat and really shocks me, for lack of a better word, every time it hits. The whole work is fantastic ofc.
This is very fitting for Sleep paralysis too. It's confusing having to accept the fact that what you're seeing right in front of you isn't real when you can see it so clearly.
I think you managed to perfectly capture the epic and existential experience of a Mage's Awakening in music form. Like how the VTMB OST perfectly captures the horror of VTM.
What I really love about the lyrics is that they mean two completely different things depending on what "that" is. At first glance, "that" seems to refer to the awakening experience. Something so unreal and fantastical it could only have occurred in a dream. Yet, you now feel completely different. You see the world in an entirely new light, everything has changed. How can you honestly say it was all a dream, when you feel such unimaginable power at your fingertips? But the second meaning is, in my opinion, much more interesting. What if "that" refers, not to the awakening itself, but to everything that happened before it, your life as a sleeper? If this was your "awakening", and you've only now become cognizant to the world as it really is, as if now your real life began, then what were all those things you did and accomplished before you awakened really for? Did they all just not matter? Were they all just a dream? Your connections, your hopes and aspirations, who you saw yourself as, does all that now just disappear and is replaced by this new life? Amazing work capturing both feelings in this song.
Very interesting takes on the meaning of the lyrics. Very interesting indeed! And quite impressive that you found two angles to look at it from to arrive at different meanings. Thank you :)
This is amazing and immediately goes into the folder of songs (yes, I am paranoid, I save such gems in case youtube suddenly vanishes) I will absolutely use when preparing RPG games.

Have not had the time to delve into the Wizard game yet so it was my first time hearing this... Considering the intro, I expected something calm and sinister but that crescendo was a nice surprise. Well done again.
Oh my god, this is amazing. I think this gives me the feeling of Terribilità that some art critics say Michelangelo's sculptures had. That sense of both awe and terror that just makes your stomach drop and doesn't let you look away. It feels like someone falling down a well and passing countless wonders and horrors in the dark as they descend to an unknown world. Its just fantastic in every way.
I've been listening to this piece non stop for the last 2 days. I started a game of Hunter a year and a half more or less, at the beginning I used trip hop and the soundtrack of vampire games, but it wasn't right you know? it lacked some humanity, a bit of chaos, the sense that the world is haunted and beautiful at the same time. Also, while I doubt this was intentional, the lyrics also fit Changeling: the Lost very well, due to its Clarity mechanic and how a CoD changeling's hazy memories of their Durance (an already confusing, nightmarish event that seems to run on dream logic) can cause them to doubt whether what happened to them in Arcadia actually happened.

Happy to hear that, and thank you, Straddock! I hope I’ll be able to make more interesting things coming up!
This piece of brilliance drew me to the series, and i can safely say, both are GLORIOUS!
Thank you very much!!
This is great, a fitting supernatural feeling
Thanks for sharing the song on your channel, while the intro music with the visuals on Alfabusa's are spectacular, this piece needs to be boosted as much as possible along with the creator's channel.
Thank so very much, Plot! I appreciate it :)
@@Mackeerre Of course my log. Hope all the intraction in the comments doesn't waste too much of your time and instead inspires more interaction from your listeners. For the Alogorythm requires engagement 🙇♂
@plot6520 It does not waste my time! If anything it boosts and inspires me! Though I’ll admit I know nothing about how the UA-cam algorithm works haha
@@Mackeerre It's a magical creature. It loves likes, time watched and comments. It's a changeling who eats engagement
Beautiful, I've listened to this so many times now. Great work from a great artist
Thank you very much!
Literal fucking chills, amazing as always Macke
Thank youuu, Bug Bugger!
My only complaint is it’s not longer.
Seriously, it’s better than some official tv shows intros.
Good tv shows intros!
I won’t comment on the feel of it (everyone is) but 10/10 will listen again!
Thank you very much, quite the compliment!
The best music gives you a feeling that is indescribable but undeniably knowable.
Thank you for living a life that led to this piece. Your passion speaks volumes of gratitude into my very soul.
I’m so glad to hear this, thank you very much for your comment, War Lord Delta!
This is an absolutely phenomenal song. Thank you.
YES thank you for uploading this
My pleasure :)
Fucking beautiful song mate, loving it.
Thank youuu!
Why did I only find this now? This is incredible.
Thank youuu, Dio Fanboy!
It's so hauntingly beautiful. ; ;
I'd like to say that you've put out yet another absolute banger. Can't quite put my finger on it, but this song seems to me like a mix of Exit Music for a Film by Radiohead and some other song I'm forgetting at the moment.
Fucking astonishing
Thank you!
Exit Music (For a Film) inspires me to no end. It’s just an amazing song and it actually inspired both this intro and the first one from HTP.
I would very much like to know which other song it made you think of, if it comes back to mind
This is AMAZING stuff! I absolutely adore this, sharing this immediately.
Thank you!
A remarkable piece.
Thank you :)
Damn this is so god damn good
I wish I could make stuff like this myself
And that voice it's angelic and mysterious
I love it keep it up
Thaaaaank you so much, Zenic White!
I really appreciate your lovely comment!
Great work as always dude, lemme boost that algorithm for you real quick c:
Thank you very much 😁
I so want an extended version of this with another verce and climax!
ITS SO GOOOOOOOD FUUUUUUCK!
I’m sorry to say that I have no intention of doing an extended version of this since I feel this is complete as it is :(
But thank youuuu!
@@Mackeerre Honestly, as someone who has just composed music for a summer project, I feel that! but, the only thing is I am now listening to it on repeat. This is not a bad outcome. It is also Inspiring me to do a hunter campaign where all but one hunter turns out to be, or becomes, a supernatural being.
KEEP BEING AWESOME!!!!
@@codenamestudios6390 That is an awesome idea for a campaign! Definitely gives "the thing" vibe! Tell me how it goes!
Absolutely smashing it out of the park, as always
Thank you very much, Solstrana!
I felt really stupid trying to find this every which way I could, lyric search giving me nothing... Imagine how dumb I felt when I went to your page and saw the title.
Haha! That is pretty funny! I am very glad you found your way here though :)
another brilliant piece my dude
Thank you, JackalLab!
I've been wanting this since I heard it on the episode omg thank you!
Thank youuu, Werewolflim235!
Big Radiohead vibes had to look it up immediatly after the mage video poped up bravo m8
Well looking for info on the NWG and finding this is absolutely amazing.
It’s a sub for sure
Thank you very much, Frausing!! Glad to have you along!
Absolutley beautiful 😍This is exactly the tone I'm trying to capture in my home mage game! The music you've done for ogre poppenang is just next level
Thank you, Little Wolf! 😁
will this be added to Spotify? please love your work
It will! All of my soundtracks will be uploaded to Spotify when I can afford it!
Wonderful. You have an amazing way with sound waves.
Haha, why thank you very much 😁
incredible
Hearing your previous work in the new video was a nice treat
But it being kicked off with this haunting piece? It was captivating.
Absolutely phenomenal, great stuff!
